Man, as a mechanic I hate those Range Rovers. Every time one comes into the shop it ruins my day somehow

I was like 99% sure the answer was going to be "First, make sure it's a Toyota!"

163 Land Rover TSB’s... that’s the same amount of fault codes they have when they arrive at my shop! Agree with you on that Scotty!

The best vehicles to buy are older models less complicated, and depreciation is not an issue.

If buying a used car I always try and buy from an Original Owner that has kept service records and has actually done proper maintenance over the years. Ohh and check bottom of oil cap to make sure it doesnt have foamy milkshake residue on it, means head gasket leaking. MOST IMPORTANT THING- ALWAYS BE WILLING TO WALK AWAY :)

Last word of advice was spot on Scotty! I was looking into buying the new redesigned 2017 Honda Ridgeline earlier this year and it turns out they came out of the factory for numerous problems. So instead I went for the old model Ridgeline which is very well made and reliable plus it was only $10, 000 compared to the 2017 model at around $39, 000

Another tip, never buy a car from Scotty as all he ever does is do burnouts with it while shouting 'REV UP YOUR ENGINES'.

You are the best Scotty. I have learned so many things about a car just from your videos. Now, I feel more confident while driving as I have sound knowledge of so many things going on in my car. Keep up your good works.

Definitely agree on not buying the newest model when it first comes out. Always good to wait at a year or two so the kinks get ironed out.

Great info Scotty! Keep up the great work!

Scotty is right here. For example early models of civic of 2006-2009 have engine block crack problems for no reason and 2016 has engine cylinder not being mechanical to spec. Scotty you the man.
