I think the industry may be about to kill off their golden goose with all these huge mega ships. It seems port cities are started to say enough already.

Check your luggage if you’re a hunter. Don’t use the same bag if possible. Be careful.

Saw a horrible instance of child abuse on board Mardi Gras the week of 19-25. Dad’s versus his 13 yo son (and younger daughter trying to get the dad away.) He had his kids throat in his hands, choking him out. KUDOS to the passengers that help pull him off and hold him for security. BUT Carnival “can’t hold him unless the victim (or mom on this case) presses charges on land.”
So dad was out and about the next day, like nothing happened. In cases like that- Security should be able to use their discretion about holding people in the brig and should have a policy about domestic violence or AT LEAST for child abuse situations that happen on board.

When cruises are first announced is when they are the lowest price. The closer you get to the sail date, the more expensive they get. Also, it allows for about 2 years worth of monthly payments instead of having to have make a balloon-ish type payment the closer you get to the cruise.

Love these videos! Been watching certain cruise channels for a long time and now you have moved to the top of my list. Fast is better! We book 12 months or more out.

I personally book 1 year up to two years out. That way I get Cabin that I want.

A. More than 12 months out. As an educator, as soon as I know my academic schedule and the cruise line release their schedule, I inform my travel advisor and come up with a travel plan.

Why don’t these companies stop trying to make the biggest ships and remodel/ fix the ones they have. Will never travel on those big ships. Just my opinion.🛳️

A: We try to book at least 2 years out but occasionally book one on short notice if it's a really, REALLY good price.
