Be aware that there is a known bug that devs are working on, where sometimes, dying in this manner will NOT unlock the goat fleece, it is rather common too.

If the savefile was made before the new update, you may need to start a new one. Also make sure you unlocked the sin-generating stuff before trying to fall to reach the statue. The new character costs sin-snakes.

Guys, you don't have to beat Narinder to unlock The Goat. You need to beat the third bishop (Most likely Kallamar if you go in order) and unlock sin. The Goat fleece uses sin to unlock it. Having someone be player two is the easiest way to unlock it currently since the "storyline way" is kind of bugged right now. Until they patch it, either try starting a new file since it seems some people are having issues with unlocking it with older saves or wait for the devs to finish fixing it as they are aware of the issue.

Got the goat fleece the other day without doing any of these methods. I simply opened the present with the Cthulu follower skin, then went to the temple for something else, saw I had a new fleece available, and bam! Goat.

I did the story way unintentionally and was so confused, I highly suggest doing it the death way.

Recent update removed the unlock restrictions from the goat, though he cant wear any other fleece since he is also treated as such in single player </3

Yeah I actually figured this out by accident.

I think it happens after you defeat the one that waits and then the next time you die.

Side note, when resurrected you don't have to sacrifice a follower and you have full health.

On the switch there is a very common glitch that you only unlock the cards instead of both the fleece and cards. It is better to just get a second controller to join for a second then going back to single player

I just opened the game and had it unlocked but this explains all the missing tarot cards

I was trying the 2 player update with a friend in an all new save file. Then, I went to my main file and we played a bit to show him the bosses. I died because it was last hit for both the boss and me, and unlocked the cards by pure random chance, because I also make a habit of not dying in my runs.

Actually, for me, I had to use the double controller. The dying method didn’t unlock the goat fleece for me, and I had to pull out my mostly dead controller (was stressful) but I got the goat fleece in the emd

slightly off topic and no ones gonna see tgis but if anyone's playing w/ someone else on xbox (if you're on the same xbox) u have to add an account and go back to ur original one then click the other account whenever u try to connect the second controller 2 the game, me and my friends were struggling w/ this 🙏🙏
