If you are an absolute beginner, I'd recommend reading Mark, then Colossians and Titus. Then read Matthew, John, Luke and then Acts and follow with the rest of the New Testament. Use the NKJV, NASB95, ESV or CSB for good literal study. Use the NLT for easy reading and comprehension. God Bless!

No, you need to ask to the (Holy Spirit) to guide you on reading the Bible, because only the Holy Spirit can lead you on deeper understanding. That's how you start reading the Bible! You can't simply ask guidance to someone, because most people tend to lean on their own understanding.

I humbly recommend to start from Gospel of John, Luke, Matthew, Mark, Prophet Isaiah, Psalms and to go through Genesis and all parts of Holy Bible Chronologically and as per the preaching notes and guidance.
