Pediatrician strongly recommends against homemade formula

The formula shortage is continuing to rock families across the country, one Utah pediatrician shared what parents should do if they’re in a bind.

My mother made homemade baby formula using evaporated milk and a couple other ingredients many times and it was just fine. I even made it a few times for my babies yrs ago when I ran out and couldn't get to a store to buy more or couldn't afford it at that moment. We grew up healthy and so did my kids. Remember there was a time when baby formula didn't exist, yet Mothers still found a way to keep their babies fed & healthy.

Okay, so here is my question...
Before baby formula even existed, how did mothers back in the day feed their infants?

Mothers should asl their grandparents about this. Lots of us born before formulas were available grew up on evaporated milk with a little karo syrup added to it and it worked fine. Yes they may need additional vitamins, etc. but in the short term they’ll work. Meanwhile, migrants to our country are being given the formula Americans can’t purchase. Something’s wrong with this picture.

drastic measures! Hope the reader knows that GMO in formula is reality. And making formula isn't a big deal You can do it. Its not a crime.

This is absurd. If your child is less than 6 months old need nutrition. It’s better to make your own than to let your infant starve. Not all have access to grocery stores all the time…protein, fat, and sugars(carbs) are crucial…supplement with infant vitamins.
