It's not a broken drive nor a tutorial, it's an ad for sofware deficient drives. If your drive let's say took a meter drop on hardwood floor, it's broken and you'll have to pay professionals those hundreds of dollars because this software is gonna be "Uh ? I see no HDD, can't do anything, but thanks for the money if you paid"

I tried Recoverit and it did nothing for a corrupted hard drive. In fact, it never finished scanning even after running overnight. I tried R-Studio. It actually scanned the hard drive and it gave visual progress for the sectors scanned. It wouldn't recover unless I paid for it...so I paid the money only because it actually allowed me to preview the files theat were corrupted when nothing else would. OMG...it actually recovered every file...all 200GB. I'm not sure exactly how well the recovery actually is since these were video files and if there was any portion of the file that was truly unrecoverable...I don't see it. So, for that reason I am a believer of R-Studio. Oh man...this thing really works!

If my hardrive is broken it won’t show up in recoverit . It just says the disk information is being refreshed the entire time

You seem like the smartest guy to ask this question. I went away on vacation and my son took my laptop and did a hard restart with either F1 or f2 so he could bypass my passcode. Now I have none of my old favorites or bookmarks and a lot of them contain important login information and such. Is there any way I can reclaim my old computer for his hard restart. This software only works for certain cases of small corrupted files, not all. Also, this a rental software for $60 year for one computer. If I have another PC with a corrupted hard drive, I have to remove that hard drive and connect it to the computer that this software is registered to. Does this check sectors?
UPDATE: No, it will not recover bad sectors. It just fails after hours at attempts and freezes...and you have to start again. R-Studio was the best option recommended by another user. It fully recovered a badly corrupted hard drive with bad sectors. One of the files was a 22GB video file, and it got it back!
