Just found you - do people always ask you if you're drunk? I mean this in a VERY GOOD WAY. I can never seem to stop laughing, and don't even drink at ALL, and people still think I am drunk. It is great to see enjoyment in your life, and your ability to share it with others - that is the key. Happiness IS contagious! I have been a quilter for a LONG time, and got into making jelly roll rugs from my scraps (in lieu of purchasing the "rolls" precut). I LOVE these bowls, and the colored craft rope is on my list the next time I go to the store, Thanks so much for sharing =)

I watched a tutorial before yours and the woman sewed a straight stitch straight across the first 3 rows and then across again in a cross so that she didn't have to do the super tiny first few rounds. It kept everything together so well

Greetings from the Philippines💖 🇵🇭Wow❣️, I stumbled upon your channel and I can't help but feel inspired. Most of sewing channels are of women sewing, and I am a guy who wants to sew. So seeing this channel made me feel inspired. Im so glad I found this channel. I haven't had the chance to buy my own sewing machine yet but I'm getting there. I've been saving up for the past years but money is tight and I want to help my parents cover some of my school fees so all the money went into grad fees and school stuff. I've seen some of your videos and they are really helpful✨ not only that but all the laughing and positivity is cantagious💫💝. I'm looking forward to see more videos from you. God bless you sir! More power to your channel.💛💛💛

This is the first time I’ve ever seen one of your tutorials. 😂 You’re a hoot! 😂 Your bowls are beautiful, but you are so fun to listen to. Thank you.

I have watched a few videos on how to made rope bowls and you were the only one that mentioned the direction in which to sew. I started my first bowl before watching your video and had to abandon it because I rolled the bowl in the wrong direction and had no room to shape the sides. Thank goodness it was just a small base. So thank you

Great bowls and useful tips. Thank you for sharing with us. Love your choice of Big Musical Production. The music adds to the drama of watching the bowl creation grow and grow.

You are a hoot!!! I made fabric bowls 10 yrs ago and never thought I would again. I lost my book so I found your video. I guess they are back again as my quilt store actually has a class. After watching your video I'm going to revisit the fabric bowl. I love the way you use occasional fabric. Nice touch. Thanks

Made lots of these for home, gifts and to sell. Here is a hint for beginning them. Roll several rounds at the bottom like you showed except after you put your pin it sew from on direction in a straight stitch straight across. Then pull out pin. Now do the same from other side. I use matching thread so stiching doesn't show. This will hold your bowl together tightly while you go back and zig zag it. It is a total life changer in making these bowls.

I literally have been wanting to make rope bowls. I tried to take a class but I was on a waiting list at the paducah quilt fair. 3 years later found a local class. Really enjoyed it.

Suggestion, if you use plain cotton rope and thread, you can use Rit Dye and a crockpot to dye your bowl.
