I have sewn about a million coil bowls I sell them at a store in a major city. Some things I have learned, over lapping is a good thing, I use 1 inch strips and overlap leaving about 1/4 of an inch. In the event you zig zag just in the edge of the strip you have some meat to sew into. Also when using large welting you only have to catch the edges and not sew through the bulk. I cut my fabric on the bias so there is no fraying. ( Sew Very Easy) has a great tutorial on cutting bias strips. I love the honey bun idea and your colours were lovely. I buy my welting by the yard at Lens Mill store I find it is the cheapest. Learned something today regarding cutting on an angle, great idea Thanks. Beautiful bowl. 👍🇨🇦

I just found all you tutorials. So, I am late to the party. But I am loving them each and every one of them, especially when Jax appears.

I love your cat. They always want to sit where you are working or reading. Thank you for including Jackson(?) in your videos. have a new cutting mat, rotary cutter and a new acrylic ruler. I'm going to watch your How to Cut Fabric video one more time then I am going to attempt the zippered pouch. I feel well armed. Please keep creating your tutorials they are wonderful.

If you were to use fabric strips that are cut on the bias you will get a smoother wrap. I love your tutorial. Your cat is a star!

This was a great review for me. I made dozens of these back in the 80’s. (Everything old is new again!)

Came for the crafts. Stayed for the sweet kitty in the bowl. Now I must make three bowls to capture my kitties.

This isn't a project that I thought I would want to try but after watching your video I think I will give it a whirl! What a cute idea! I love how customizable it is too. Just by switching the fabric choices it can go in any type of decor. Love this!

Thank you, Erica, for another helpful video. I had to order the cording immediately as my cat is sleeping in a box on my sewing table and I felt guilty for not making her a bed, lol. This was very well done.
