I’ve found it hard to trust my girlfriend after she stepped over my boundaries while KNOWING she stepped over them. We’re over it, I go to therapy weekly now. I can see your viewpoint, but I would have to agree to disagree. I don’t believe ONLY the man can work on this. Don’t get me wrong it’s definitely on him to pick himself up, but you say it like it’s black and white, you either tell him to get his shit together or you stay silent. My therapist is a woman, and she’s found that it IS hard for women to process a man’s emotions. Bc when a guy opens up, he’s told to close down (in one way or another via cold shoulder, a lack of empathy, etc.). If a man opens up to you with a problem like this, he is yearning for care and love. I know you’re not his mother, but you are the woman in his life. and really think about it -he only feels this way because he loves the shit out of you. I can see how if this went on for a long time, it will become bothersome, but if it’s recent and you get the vibe that it’s innocent, I encourage you to help your boyfriend out. Figure the shit out with him, because if he could do it on his own right now, he would. He doesn’t want to tell you these things and he also doesn’t want to keep silent.

I did so many things to earn my bf now husband's trust. Even though I wasn't the one to break it, it was his ex from high school. I stopped talking to our male friends (some even our common friends) all together. But then he even questioned why would I even want girlfriends. I never went out for 4 years but when I did with my work girls for an hour I came back to a very angry husband. Went to a work training for 2 hours, again came home to a very angry husband. So in the last 5 years and after getting married still no trust. I'm done! I'm not trying to earn his trust anymore, because it's not possible. I think we are heading to a divorce.

My sincerest hope is the narrative changes in America about the criticism of women. Half a century of every story, news article, movie, about how bad men are, but never is anyone, ever allowed to criticize women. Certainly not within your power, but I believe that would go a long way toward improving relationships between the sexes. The narrative that is commonplace seems disingenuous. Look at any report on any media about the marriage rate as the lowest ever, what is to blame? Men. Read the stories about “why there are no good men left.” Whose to blame? Men. Never will you read about why. I write these statistics on channels like yours because I want to 1. Change the narrative and 2. Possibly save other men from losing their homes, their wealth, and their children by subscribing to an outdated and ridiculously romanticized construct called Marriage. I don’t blame you or any of the ladies that have these videos. I don’t even think most of you know you are going to divorce when you marry. However, most Western women divorce, and that needs to be discussed. Especially considering the divorce laws are based on a 1950’s reality that simply does not exist anymore. I believe an honest conversation would do this country a lot of good in the long run.
