I’m currently trying to fix trust between me and my boyfriend as I did something that hurt him. I took accountability and made it clear it would never happen again. I explained why it happened to him and once again explained why I would never hurt him like that again. I told him I would do whatever it takes and however long it takes to gain his trust back. I’ve promised to make it work but he just doesn’t seem too interested in a relationship with me anymore. It breaks my heart because it wasn’t something I was able to control at the time.

I have learned from past mistakes in my life...thank you Matt ...I made a pact never to break trust again because of insecurity. I hoped at the same time that we both could trust each other because it goes both ways...the trust issue.

After trust has been broken - never hide something and excuse it for yourself as “I don’t want to risk him worrying in vain”. If you feel the need to hide it, he should know and be prepared. Because if he finds out in some other way, you will just be way less credible and you only prove that you’re still not to be relied on.

I think it entirely depends on how that trust was broken and to what degree. Some things are very serious and others less so. How you lost the trust matters.

I really hurt him, not by cheating rather than stab him in the back! I love him more than everything and I would never give up on him. It months now he moved on, but every minute he is in my mind. I do not think I ever will be over him ! --- 1 ) I do not even know whether I fight for him ! as I proved I do not deserve him. 2) How much time I should give him? 3) He does have someone new but I do not think it is serious. - I just do not know what to do. He does not give me a clear answer ! - YEs he has narc personality but tthats why i love him .
