Nine Great Beginner Cichlids!

Hello Everyone,
Here are some cichlids that are great for people just starting out keeping cichlids. It's usually easier to keep them after a fish-keeper has a little experience first. This list includes some that are common and others not as common, but still really cool!

The first cichlids i ever got were Yellow labs and German Blue rams. Great fish that I absolutely loved and I will be keeping again when I can have more tank(s) space!

This is only the second video of yours I’ve been able to see so far. I’m mainly a cichlid guy but I love all fish in general. Anyway, like your show, keep up the good work.

Had a breeding pair firemouth cichlids with cories and believe or not fancy guppies well planted and they stayed together for four years until I move and had to get rid of them. They firemouth had such beautiful color and the tails of the Male Guppies it was one of my most favorite tanks. I still remember it as if it was yesterday and it has been over 40 years since I had them. Guppies took care in the top water and the firemouth mid to bottom of tank and of course the cories bottom. With many different varieties of plants and a river sand bottom some rocks and wood pieces. I have always wanted to recreate that same tank again. But space has always been a issue ever since then.

old video but, I was wondering if you had any stocking suggestions for mbuna in a 50 gal. currently it's filter by an eheim cannister, two sponges, and an aquaclear 110. I was looking to get out of fish but, this amazing little guy came along that fish so I kinda feel obligated because i am addicted to that smile and laughter. Regardless if you respond or not, thank you for all that you've done. I remember when it was way more of a hobby for you lol
