Oh dear, the most expensive discus fish is no more #discus

Hes an Albino Eruption discus, was doing really well, and then downhill and dead in around 6 hours.
Its not whitespot, theres no ammonia in this aquarium, its not low oxygen and its not worms.
I think he poisoned himself by eating old food that he got too when I moved some decor for cleaning.
Top tip - do not have complex piece of bog wood in a discus tank that can trap food.

When this happens, immediately put that in pp solution for 5 min. Then move to a pre treated water bucket with high temp, close to 90F with air stone. Fight to keep it alive like a ER doctor. They are part of you and your family. Don’t lose them without a fight

Ive found fish, if its in shock, to run it directly under the flow of a filter IMMEDIATELY and continue to keep the flow forcing into the gills until the fish can COMPLETELY move on its own and fights you to break free and doesnt turn over after you let it go. Saved me my fish after transport

This is why discus are kept in bare bottom tank, the substrate will lock more harmful bacteria and over time water becomes poison...

Discus do this when introduced to new tanks because of water pressure. I could be wrong in this example but it does happen

This is just stupid. Fish looks absolutely perfect which tells me this happened shortly after purchase. Prob didn’t adjust the fish to new water or had crappy water to begin with. People need to do their home work before getting into this hobby
