As a older Floridian I can tell you that the Bimini Road had been "Discovered" way before than 2006. I remember hearing stories in the 70s and dived it myself in 81. And I'm pretty sure the locals knew about it far before that.

"natural formations"... right. and I'm Elvis XD amazing how people can deny things of glaring obviousness simply because it doesn't fit with their cozy definition of "reality." as you say, the vast majority of our waters are unexplored... who knows what's down there? could be anything, IMO
