Yes, I’ve known about it for 50+ years. Oceanography was my passion when I was growing up.

We've discovered 5% of our oceans on 🌎. Which makes me have an assumption that this could be the deepest part but we can't say that for certain

fanon thing i think tha should be- eh idk

Creating fanon animals for a hypothetical "super deepest ocean" sounds like a fun exercise in imagination! Let's think about some creatures that might inhabit such extreme depths:

1. **Abyssal Titans**: Gigantic, bioluminescent creatures resembling a cross between a squid and a deep-sea fish. They possess long, sinuous bodies with rows of glowing photophores along their sides to attract prey in the darkness.

2. **Void Serpents**: Elongated serpentine creatures with transparent bodies and multiple sets of glowing eyes. They navigate the pitch-black depths using bio-luminescent patterns on their skin and possess elongated jaws filled with razor-sharp teeth to capture unsuspecting prey.

3. **Leviathanic Siphonophores**: Massive colonial organisms resembling drifting, transparent tubes that stretch for hundreds of meters. Each tube houses various specialized polyps and appendages that collectively hunt, feed, and defend the colony. They trap prey using a network of stinging cells and sticky tendrils.

4. **Chaos Eels**: Bizarre, shape-shifting creatures capable of altering their body structure at will. They use this ability to mimic other deep-sea organisms, luring prey close before revealing their true form and striking with lightning-fast speed.

5. **Abyssal Behemoths**: Enormous, lumbering creatures resembling a cross between a crustacean and a deep-sea arthropod. Covered in thick, armored plating, they roam the ocean floor in search of carrion and other large prey, using powerful jaws and crushing limbs to devour anything in their path.

These are just a few imaginative ideas for fanon animals that could hypothetically inhabit a "super deepest ocean." Their designs draw inspiration from the extreme conditions and mysterious nature of such depths.

Fun fact : this is surprisingly wrong . In the 70's the Ussr dug a hole that was 12, 220 meters deep (7.1Miles)

But Mariana Trench is the deepest point in the ocean

Think of all the new mountain ranges and canyons there would be if the oceans dried up. Scary and fascinating.

Mt. Everest does not float at sea level, but on the mantel, then sits on continental crust about ten miles deep. This means that the mountain’s height is greater than the height above sea level by quite a lot, therefore I doubt the thesis given.

What might be the distance between Mariana trench and outer space?

On March 23 1875 scientist at sample station number #225, HMS Challenger recorded the bottom at 4, 475 fathoms (26, 850 ft; 8, 184 m) deep! Basically what they did was take A LOT of rope and lead weight and drop it over and they recorded the depth. I can't imagine what it was like when they first started letting the line down for the Mariana Trench! "Uh Sir we've just hit 10K foot and its still going!!!"
