I accidentally triggered my dads PTSD once
(My dad was in the coast guard and was a cop in Miami for 10 years.)
I came home from my friends house randomly with a new toy gun I had bought and I made sure to enter the house quietly for the ultimate sneak attack.

It was a old western style gun with the bright orange safety tip so I didn’t think anything of it. But my dad was in the kitchen and I rounded the corner with the gun fully pointed at him, he freaked out, slapped my wrist hella hard, toy gun went flying, he did some kind of jiu jitsu move and I got thrown to the floor.
He felt so bad after but explained to me why I should never do that again. Me, my dad, and my mom were laughing about it later that day it but it’s a lesson I’ll never forget.

I used to do worse as a kid lmfao....

I'd get nosebleeds fairly often... broke my nose in a fall when i was a baby or something... I would always be afraid to wake my parents up to help me though

So I'd literally just stand in their doorway, blood all over my face and hands until my dad would eventually hear something and wake up...


He was in the army, used to be a light sleeper... we went thru this so many times that now he's one of the deepest sleepers there is lmfao


Freaked the shit out of him so many times, eventually he got past caring about dying in his sleep lol 😂

My oldest daughter used to wake me up by tapping me on the forehead repeatedly. She never said anything, she just stood there, tapping away until I woke up.

My 4 year old son tried to wake me up at 4 AM by hiding at the end of the bed and tickling my feet. I've had sleep paralysis episodes and night terrors since I was a teenager. Just so happens that was going on moments after he woke me up. When I could finally move, I screamed like someone was killing me with a butter knife 😂. He pops up from the foot of the bed and says "Dad, there's a monster in my room and it told me to tickle your feet".

I never wanted to wake my dad up in the middle of the night but I would stand 4in from his face hoping he would wake up. He would later tell me it was the most terrifying feeling to feel someone watching you asleep.

These kids are funny. The other day I could’ve sworn my son said “you silly little punk” to me. Needless to say I was about to check him and his five year old self said “no daddy I called you a silly little pumpkin”. I think he was lying though. 😂😂😂😂
