AT Thru Hike Day 94 - Thunder and Lightning to Huge Flower Blooms

The day started nicely but thunderstorms and lots of rain was coming. Oddly enough after the pouring rain I was treated to fields and fields of Trilliums.

I’m watching several AT vlogs to get different “views” of the trail but always enjoy yours the best….no one else spends as much time enjoying flora and fauna up close. I especially enjoyed you capturing bird song, the rumble of thunder and the lovely patter of rain on your umbrella. Love the wildflowers and bird sounds Jay! My son and I are regular day-hikers here in the Redwoods of the central coast of California. Yesterday we saw Trilliums and heard a woodpecker too! Lots of tiny yellow, white, and blue blooms for just a couple weeks at this time of year. We also saw a red Columbine flower which Google says was a Canadian Columbine... and it's range is not supposed to include CA, but there it was. One solitary plant right next to the trail. Thanks Jay for the great videos!

I think the flowers with their own umbrellas are amazing! Never seen anything like it. My philosophy of flowers is the same as dogs...how could anyone not like them? Both remind me of how blessed we are. Thanks for another spectacular video.

You really got me clenching my butt cheeks when you walked swiftly through the open space with the thunderstorm being so near lol this is how emotionally connecting your vlogs are! By the way, you never can go crazy enough showing the beautiful fauna all around you, I believe we all cherish those moments! Glad this shelter was not fully full, it looked amazing!
