I love canning out of my garden. I just made two and a half cases of pickles. Bread and butter s well as garlic dill. It’s great everything incoming garlic and dill pickles. Butternut squash into soup with my bone broth. Acorn squash, zucchini collards. They chicken stuffed with collards, garlic and onion. Yum

Nice! I ha e recently discovered plastic mason jar lids. They don’t corrode and they are easy to clean. Not good for actually canning but for applications like this they are perfect.

This is an common Indian pickle used in households daily ...its called sirka pyaaz.

I just made pickled onions tonight but I used another recipe. Your garlic, mustard seed, peppercorn and bay leaf sound great for next time.
They need to be used in a couple weeks though, maybe more if stored upside-down.

like it all but... pickled eggs are so good! sometimes I put beets in the jar and the eggs turn pink🥰

I don't have the growing carrots but my purple asparagus are just doing so great and purple onions are extremely over doing it I never just done onions I always put them in with pickles and red hot peppers . But we're going to try this I've been dehydrating like crazy to get Jared tell families need to fill jars up with food dehydrated. I do it for there birthday with love.

Little question: can i use this to preserve veggies like this for the winter, in my root cellar, or is this only good to be eaten within a week or two, kept in the fridge?
