Which is better between Behringer UM2 vs M-audio solo ??

I own the Duo, which I now regret buying, as the Duo has no meaningfull extra features over the solo.

The difference is that the duo has the combo XLR/JACK chassis part for the second input as well. And it has an extra 'monitor' knop to adjust the output gain.

That's all. Other than that there are no differences. So the duo does not have more or less inputs than the solo.

Both contain the same PCB, and it's built around the dsp9200C Audio to USB chip.

Can you connect 2 guitar/bass in each input? Or input 1 is really for microphone only?

Zabardast cheers from Toronto, A little confused....in the 192/4 you said, you can use BOTH the XLR for a Mic. and the Front guitar jack at the SAME time, to Sing/jam etc. But, I need to Add another, say a Karaoke Track from my Android Cell Line Out, in which Input can I do this, but, then you say it will automatically cut off the Front 1/4 inch jack! Then I cannot Play or Sing along. So, how do I overcome this? 
Also, instead of a Laptop, can I power it via a 6V Transformer?

I’m using the MXL 990, XLR mic with the M-Audio M-Track Solo USB audio interface. When I record on audacity the recording is very low. I have the volume/gain knob for input one set at six or seven. When I normalize the audio to -3 db I can hear it okay, but there is a noticeable static like hum. Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated.
