Imagine helping the cops catch 2 car thiefs and they give you a speeding ticket and then telling you that you should’ve just pulled over

Wait, the cop actually said that the best option for someone getting chase by known carjackers is to pull over and lock their doors?. What in the actual hell is that?

The cop gave them a speeding ticket when they were in fear for their lives? I'd so fight that ticket.

I would have taken a copy of the police report to court and fought ticket. There was a very good reason why the camaro was speeding

i used to be a trooper and let me tell you, crazy sh*t happens out on the open roads. dont stop for anyone "broke down" or any other type of situation because they can be ambushes. call that stuff in, it's what we get paid to deal with. i didn't watch all the video but i will tell you, good folks well tell all kinds of crap (bs) to try to get out of a ticket. hard to know when a situation is real or not. this day and age, get on the phone with 911 and let them know what's going on

I have one:
A while ago I was coming home from a late shift. It was around 12 when I left so traffic was practically nonexsistant. When I went to merge onto the highway however, there was a red truck that refused to let me in. I tried to merge infront of him but as soon as he seen me he sped up. I braked and merged behind him figuring he had to get somewhere fast but he ended up getting behind me as we went further down the road. He had his highbeams on and it was really hard to see the driver.

I started to get suspicious that he was following me so I took an exit that wasn't mine. He took it too and I was starting to get uneasy. I further tested my theory by running a yellow light and he still followed after it had turned red. I was getting really scared now and I wasn't about to stop at the red-light ahead. I ran that and he did too.

I started panicking because my phone was dead and I had been trying to charge it but the battery was still too low. I pulled off on a random street and he followed. I knew the area well though, so I weaved between a few streets before speeding back out onto another main road and heading to the police station. By this point I was terrified and I didn't know if he was still following me or not.

I went to where I thought the police station was but it had moved in recent times so I went to my mother's instead. I pounded on the door when I got there, horrified that he was going to come down the street. My mom answered the door though and I ran inside trying to explain the situation between frantic sobs. We didn't call the police because I had lost him back at that neighborhood.

That was one of the scariest moments of my life and I still get uneasy around red trucks

Men I love the fact that the horror narration genre gets bigger.

I wonder if the people causing all the scares watch these and say damn “that was me”

On the second story, why would you give a ticket to someone trying to get away from people who could possibly kill or hurt them

In the 2nd story, with everything that happened i would not just pull over and lock my doors. ( unless i had my 45 ). But even then, why place myself in a position to have to shoot some thugs ? What i would do is what the driver did. Speed away.

Great vid Chilling, I have to say the way these folks reacted is exactly what I would have done being out at night on the open road :)

As far as the carjacking story goes, even being pro law enforcement, that cop was a dick. Protect yourself everyone. Carry a firearm if possible.

That second one pulling over and locking the doors just trapped you in the car. I speed through places people was laying in the road I was like not today, gas and swerve, 1990's carjackers was relentless. Getting stopped by a cop was a good save. No cops was in area I was in so 95 through a 25 I went, those guys didn't bother was no longer behind me after a few blocks. Hitting a dip at that speed sucks a** though.

Back in the early 90's I was driving home late from being out with friends and stopped at a red light at a lonely intersection when some dude tried to open my passenger door wanting a ride. Back then it was a good thing I had manually locked my passenger door of my 89 Chevy Blazer since automatic doors locking when you speed away wasn't around yet.

The first story I can somewhat relate to. (This happened just in June of this year somewhere in the mid part) my mom and I were driving back home from lunch and we arrived at the house 15 mins later… we saw this guy (I think he was a neighbor around our neighborhood) we both waited in the car to see if he would walk away and out of nowhere he was standing outside close by the car window on my side and I felt like my fight or flight response kicked in right away so I tried to stay calm but another part of me felt like I needed to escape, so around 5 minutes my mom decided to roll down the window and he asked us if we could drive him just a block to his house and the walk wasn’t even that far away. My mom told him something (I forgot what she said but she lied to him about something) then he asked us if we liked nirvana and she said yeah he’s good but a little bit after the guy eventually left walking away and I just sat there very shocked like I felt like I couldn’t move from what happened. We waited till he crossed the road and I just felt very uncomfortable but I was glad I had someone with me. If I could I would’ve been the one to say bye and leave without saying anything but after that experience I’m never going to park in the driveway when people walk by or past the house.

(I think that guy could’ve been the one that lived near a house around my neighborhood cause I’ve seen him around a lot of times and he just gives me bad vibes)

I can't believe the cop gave the guy a 🎫. What a jerk! He expected the kids to sit there while their windows get smashed and have a gun pulled on them? This is so infuriating.
