3 True Road Trip Horror Stories (With Rain Sounds)

The story about the many cars reminds me on an event my parents went through: it was 1999, I was about 6 years old, my sister 14. We were on a 3- day trip from Germany to Russia when suddenly people in Poland stopped us at night. One car was in front, one in the back and two on the left to block us. The men were armed and told my parents our car was illegal there and need a check up to make it fit to the polish standart. My mother had tears in her eyes while we Kids slept in the back. My father then tried to offer money but they wanted much more- thinking people from Germany are rich. So he stomped on the gas pedal and the cars tried following us. Because we had a German car we were much faster and managed to hide in a cornfield. They lost us and we learned there were 5 other families hiding. After the sun came up we slowly came out and made it two days later to my granny in Russia.
