🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

My cousin married a Muslim woman from Indonesia he converted to Islam and they live here in the USA with their new son. She is the sweetest person and I'm so happy he found her, she's a great addition to our family. So glad to see you cover her country and religion with such respect

I love how this isn't just a food show. How respectful you are with other cultures is amazing. It's like we get to see food we don't get to try but also a look behind the curtain of the daily life of people we don't interact with on a day to day basis. I love your videos and the insight they bring. Absolutely amazing.

As an Indonesian, i was pretty surprised by how great the co-host was. She really did well in explaining Indonesian (especially Muslim) culture in here and sonny seems comfortable talking with her. Kudos to her

Also the Arsik looked delicious 😋

My parents are Indonesian, I was born and raised in USA. I never thought I would see a white dude try Arsik, a dish my grandma made all the time in Indonesia using fish from her own ponds. Great video 😊

Sonny and his team, unlike most travel YouTubers, shows the culture more than the food.

You have eclipsed National Geographic's level of excellence and are a true Cultural Ambassador. Your productions are intensly interesting and informative. I hope you do this for many years.

Seneng bgt sama co-hostnya. bener2 paham ama apa yg dibicarakan. Jawaban yang diberikan berhasil menjawab pertanyaan dari Sonny tanpa “mencederai” nama negara dan agama (karena pertanyaan yang diberikan termasuk riskan kalo salah menjawab). As usual, great video, Sonny!

Maybe people don't notice that she is very good at English, but actually the way she mentioned all the food it's not how largely people in Indonesia pronounced it, but it's even originally how it's pronounced by the local people. She's literally doing her best

I love this for so so many reasons, if i may:
- you show us new foods
- you show us new cultures
- you manage to merge both in the same video, in a very well done balance
- your respect to new and different cultures
- i am a muslim myself but from the middle east, so i actually learnt from your video many new things about fellow muslims.

Thank you for all of these :D

the best part of this vlog is that the guide is just regular local, normal everyday housewives. We get a richer experience of the culture and so much more knowledge tah a vlog guide by food blogger, celebrities or even chef. Love this❤

I LOVE how Sonny always makes the local host try something they don't usually have. It's so real, and also gives people the right idea that hey not every local there eats "extreme" food as well.
