I'm not gonna lie. This movie and these creatures used to scare the absolute shit out of me. Anyone else or just me?

Also I know this is gonna sound weird, but I swear that this is basically the badass non-magic abilities version of the Shadow Plague from Plague Inc Evolved (basically vampire plague).

better cave movie than 90% of any other cave style movies out there so yeah go ahead and hate it, enjoyed the whole thing and watched it many times.

Technically the monsters in the cave are a mutated man due to a parasitic infection. They explained it in the movie, that there was a parasite within a rat type deal cave creature that they killed. Then it goes further when the older brother is infected and knows what the others are saying, which were the others that explored the cave earlier then them. The monster was a parasitic mutation of a human.

Thank you so much for this review! 😍😍😍 I think this is a very underrated film. And finally I can get a better look at these creatures lol Their designs are amazing.
I think I also like this movie because Lena Headey played there. she is one of my favorite actresses =)I know of another film in which the mythological creature turns out to be real - Ritual (2017). And I have to say that creature has one of the wildest and most original monster designs I've seen in decades.

After seeing how the creatures adapted to live in the subterranean darkness I'm curious to see how they would have changed had they not been stuck underground.
Guess we'll never know given how the cliffhanger ending was never given a follow up

I can't be the only one to want to cosplay as this thing right? It would be such a great challenge to both have it look accurate and feel comfortable. That and it look amazing as hell.
