This is basically depression. You want to let yourself just fall into the void, but at the same time you're trying not to let it happen and stay alive, no matter in how much pain you're in. Over and over, with no ending at sight. That's how most depressed people are feeling on a day to day basis.

the fact that you know you can't get out is actually more terrifying than falling down

As a climber, to me it that if the walls are SO rough they make her bleed this heavily after sliding shortly twice, then there is definetly enough friction to stand up.

Sort of reminds me off when i was a drug addict. I was completely addicted to opiates and benzodiazepines. I was so close to the point of no return, where my addiction would have swallowed me and I'd never escape. Luckily my parents and my 2 younger brothers are incredible people and did everything they could to support me. I feel so ashamed for putting them through so much fear and uncertainty. I owe them my life.

The fact that there aren't any backstory, of how she ended up there, who is she and more makes it even more miserable

This movie has such a simple plot and not any changing scenes. Simple but elegant

Damn, such a simple plot, but a terrifying scenario. This shit looks like it was taken straight out of a nightmare.

To everyone comparing this to depression. I think its spot on. But I want to add one thing I feel is missing in those comments:
The only thing that could've saved her is help from someone on the outside.

This gave me a full on panic attack. I've battled depression and this goes deeper than anything I've experienced. I relate it to being on the verge of suicide. Wanting to live so you dont cause pain to those you leave behind yet wanting to die to end the extreme emotional and possible physical pain you experience daily! Prayers to any souls out there going through anything this serious. This may sound cliche but Just reach out to someone anyone help is there. My love for you.

This is the most psychologically horrifying movie I have ever watched. I was sweating and felt like I was going to have a heart attack. It was just awful to see the woman scraping her hands on the concrete until they bled and to see her leg wedged under her like that. The producers and director of this film had top level creativity. I wish I had thought of that.

The ENDING: After 7 hours of pain and misery, she finally gives up and slides down. ... Then she finds out that because of the optical illusion of the painted walls, she only fell 3 feet. She was safe all along. (Just to clarify, I haven't seen the movie, I just came up with a better ending... lol )

In her mind, there is a back void at the bottom, she thinks it is deep because of that and she doesn't know what's down there. When it rained, the rainwater filled the bottom so even if she fell there will be water. When she slipped and fell she found out that there are people down there boating about and they finally rescued her! The ending you guys thought was just an illusion 😅

I think it's one of the most compelling and terrifying short films I have ever seen. As a metaphor for depression its spot on, ingenious and the actor displays a strong performance that proves effective! ❤

This movie perfectly captures depression. We dont see the cause of her being there, nor do we see where she ends being. We just experience the in the middle. We see the pain, agony, hopelessness but we also witness the sole human instinct to survive. To never giving up. The metaphor of this movie was depression and to make the world see how its a crippling and mindfucking disease but we all want to overcome it no matter what.

this was a ten and brilliant. It is something we see in our nightmares. No villain, just fear. Amazing!

Just my two cents, but I interpreted her falling off as finally getting the help she needs. Her biggest mistake was staying on the wall for so long, since it was only a small drop below her after all. Almost similar to my fight with depression! Letting go and getting help feels like death or atleast very painful; but all along staying on this wall is hurting me.
