Man when I was a kid I had a cat like this. I had him since I was about 4 until I was 17. That was my baby and I will never be able to have another cat like that ever again. He would snuggle me everywhere I went and he was just the sweetest gentle giant cat. He would always lay on his back and stretch out for belly rubs. RIP Moses🙏🏻

the way you are with your cat is the way I am with my dogs, I was stupid in the past and used to tease past pets the family has even the younger one we have now but one day hit let me know I was in the wrong and it opened my eyes

fast forward 3-4 years I look after the dogs, I give them attention when no one else will, I don't demand their respect and trust I learned how to earn it and I don't shout!

and when they are out of line I don't raise my voice I lower my pitch from a gentle high voice to a deeper one with my hands on hips and a serious stare the same look of "don't push it" that my mother did to me as a kid when I was out of line!

and I know they're intelligent enough to understand body language voicing it sometimes isn't even necessary because I let them read me and I read them it's allowed me to understand them far better than before!

they also taught me to be kinder and more gentle which if I ever meet someone and become a father will be a valuable lesson in deed!

and I can tell that like my bond with my dogs your bond with your cat is strong. owners like you are what pets deserve

Omg my cat is cling on😂 if I sit down he always want me to hold him like a baby until he falls asleep, I can hear him meowing for me when I walk to my front door after work and he always greets me😊 and yes whenever I go to the bathroom he walks under my legs and wants me to hold him yet again, or if I walk towards the bedroom he runs and jumps on the bed wanting me to lay down and cuddle him- which I obviously oblige❤
