One of my cats was found in a ditch. He’d been hit by a car and was bleeding from his nose and had a pretty good gash on it. He was just a kitten. All black cat. He was brought into my work by a Good Samaritan when I worked as a Vet Assistant and I fell in love with him. The doctor said he wasn’t going to make it due to internal trauma. I paid for all his vet bills and took him home to “foster”… 4 years later and he’s currently cuddled up on my lap purring. He is my boy!!! My other kitty was found in a car engine and the lady brought him to my NEW work and I said I’d take him cause no one else could and she was going to let him go in the parking lot. He was shivering because it was winter and he was just trying to stay warm. They display a lot of these behaviors with me and I know they know I saved them. I was always more of a dog person, but these 2 have stolen my heart. ❤️🐈‍⬛🐈

I'm a first time cat owner. I just got my two kittens on Friday and they are already doing some of those things. The humane society thanked me for giving them a home. But they really made my house a home. They saved my life.

Pooh was the light of our life (my husband and me). I used to crack his tail, and he loved it. I always wanted a tail and I meditated on how it would feel. I figured that any animal with a tail would have to live with compressed vertebrae because of gravity and their inability to stretch their tail. Cats love to stretch, so I figured out how to alleviate Pooh’s problem. He would stand in front of me, I would place my left hand on his back in front of the base of his tail, he would raise his tail straight up, I’d get ahold of the tip with my thumb and first two fingers, and then I’d pull his tail up, gently, until I heard the vertebrae crack. It got so that I could catch his eye from across a room and say “Gimme that tail, ” and he would saunter over to where I was sitting and assume the position in front of me, with his tail straight up and waiting. Yeah, he loved it.

Another thing about Pooh: When it was time for him to die, he didn’t hide somewhere. He found a comfy spot on the carpet in the living room between me and my husband. We talked to him, made sure he was comfy, and that’s where he died. His little head left a profile impression in the carpet; I didn’t vacuum that spot for months. I’d lay down next to it and try to smell him. That was 20 years ago. My husband died three months later; their ashes share an urn.

We had a cat who was in absolute heaven when getting his belly rubbed. His eyes would light up and shine just like a person looking at their beloved when that belly was getting petted. Sometimes during a long belly rub, he would stretch and I would lightly grab his rib cage. Then he would fall asleep while still being belly rubbed/petted. He loved it so much that when he was let out of the basement to start the day, he would follow family members around and flop on his back and lift his front legs, and exposing his belly, as if to say "There it is, get to it." He would not start a day without getting his belly petted. I still miss that little guy all these years later. We had a lot of good pets, but Greycat aka Mr. Grey was the best.

goatee? Cat came from a physically abusive background! So the fact that he exposes his stomach to me makes me so proud! He puts his head on my sore foot and purrs easing my pain! He prevented a breakin the first night we met when he was so ill with flea anemia! We saved each other! We have been inseparable for 6 years now! My friend surprised me with him! We were just meant to be!

My hubby rescued our last cat from a drugs den when she was still a kitten. He was walking past the house & one of the junkies came to the front door with the kitten and booted her off the step! Hubby walked up the path, picked her up and calmly walked away with her. Brought her home, called the RSPCA & police about the junkies. We had her for 22 years. She did all of these things, she loved baths, cuddling under the quilt when it was cold and walking to the corner shop with me. When she died, we got a rescue kitten who is now 5yrs old, totally different, very timid and has to be with either me or hubby all the time even in the bathroom 😂❤. Thank you for sharing this video, sorry for the long post.

Recently adopted a cat and I'm so happy to see that he's showing all of these signs!! Everytime I sit down he makes biscuits on my legs and sleeps in my lap ❤

I feel like there's a difference between feeling non-threatened by a human and loving a human! I adopted my anxious senior cat three months ago, and it's clear she's been unthreatened around me since a few weeks in (shows her belly, etc.) but we are still slowly bonding and she has only recently started to ask for affection and be okay with being touched anywhere besides her head. I used to describe us as "roommates who have nothing to do with each other" 😂 Still seeing whether we've graduated to friends.

We just moved into our new home a few months ago and took in a neighborhood stray, neighbors said she has been around ruling these streets since she was a kitten and had 4 litters of kittens herself (she's about 4 yrs old). She's now an indoor cat, she won't go near the door when it's open she has no desire to go back outside. She's fixed now & she had food & skin allergies we're taking care of with a special diet. She follows my daughter around constantly and demands love from her first thing every morning when she wakes up, she's gotta get her "lap time, " purring and making biscuits and rubbing on my daughter. And every night when I go on my chair and use my computer she lays on me and naps. When I pet her she presses her head into her hand and her tail curls around my arm and swishes lazily. She spends half her days laying on one of us, lol. She's so happy and relaxed, so sweet and gentle, I guess this means she loves us.

Thank you for this! ❤️ this made me so happy to hear because we adopted a rescue cat from a shelter 4 months ago who we adore. He was in really bad shape after having spent several years (the vet thinks) living rough outside during Swedish winters and he is doing so well now. He’s gained over half a kilo since coming to us despite having chronic kidney failure (I think it’s called in English) and he does almost all of these 7 things now! He will even plop down in front of our feet and let us rub his belly! So so happy to hear he does all these things because he’s happy here with us after the horrible life he endured after being abandoned before. We feel so very lucky to have him and he is the best thing that ever happened to our three autistic children who love him so very much.

My cat Layla will come in after my alarm goes off, jump up on the bed, get on top of me and start kneading me through the blankets, that once I start petting her, she will push her head under my hand for me to rub her head and face. I've had her since November 2019 and she is so passive and sweet.

My cat plays fetch. Brings his favorite toy to me all the time. He does this thing. He puts his nose in the corner of my mouth he either makes a licking suckling sound or he with just kinda pushes his nose into my face. He purrs and kneads at the same time. He's extremely affectionate.

My cat is a very indifferent cat but I know he loves me in his distant and sometimes cold ways (guess he is just like his owner lol).

My cat came over just to rub his face on my face while I was in the middle of watching this video, so I think we're good lol

I have two indoor cats and one of them is really into the gift bringing, but that does take place with stuff from the home. I felt sick a while back and one of my cats started bringing all kinds of stuff. She started with her own toys, then artificial flowers she found in the attic, then she brought me one of my socks from the bin, a shiny Christmas ornament from upstairs. In the end I had almost 20 different things lying next to me and I laughed so hard at every thing that it really make me feel better. She's also always bringing me her toy mouses. When I wake up I have at least one next or sometimes even on top of me. When I throw it away, she will fetch it and bring it back and almost begging me to throw it away again. We can play that game for hours sometimes haha. So yeah she ticks all 7. She let me do everything to her before the got sterilized. Unfortunately after she had the surgery she is afraid of being lift off and especially if I am trying to turn her on her back in my arm. TIll the day she got helped that was her favourite and she could be in my arm for hours. Turns out that is the way they gave the sedation. Why??? Leave the cat on the table when you do that. Don't do that holding them in the same way as their owners like to hold them. They ruined that for me. And the cat does it on instinct now. As soon as she is off me, she looks at me begging for attention with those eyes that say I don't know why I ran. My other cat doesn't bring me stuff, but she (also after a huge time of being afraid after being helped) lets me do everything to her haha. I can let her fly, she's on my shoulder while walking through the house and here favourite is when I am lying on the couch on my back, she's lying down on my breast and belly on her back. When I put my arm around her, I am stroking her belly which she enjoys to the very max haha. I am very blessed with tho of these wonderful animals that share so much love with me. It's amazing. I really would like the part of what happened with the vet going away, but it's been 4 years now so I don't think it will really. Although, small steps. I can lift her and walk with her around the room for a while now. Anyhow I love them to death and would risk my life to make them save.
