You always amaze me at how "real" you are with us. This channel is so much more than learning about camera stuff, it's about learning life lessons too! I'm so happy you had that special time with your mom. Thanks for sharing a part of you with us!

So the second half of this video hit me pretty hard. I lost my mom suddenly in Feb and hadn't been able to spend anywhere near enough time with her over the past few years due to Covid. I have spent the last few years getting much better at photography and she only got to see a tiny bit of it, non of it in person (she was really big into photography).

It's an important lesson I wish I had learned earlier. Don't get so wrapped up in life that you aren't able to sit down with the people that mean something to you and enjoy life. I am glad you had a good mothers day and thanks for all the videos.

I was not expecting to shed a tear watching a video about photography, but I did.
The world is a better place with people like you. Please keep doing what you do.

Since buying my first camera (Fuji XT4) in December 2020 I have not missed a Pal2tech video. I have learned so much from you about my camera. This is the first one that has brought tears to my eyes.

I am so very happy that you got to experience that with your mom! Your advice at the end should be taken to heart by everyone that watches!

I miss my parents and I often think about how much I wish I could share what I am doing with them.

Thank you, Sir!

The educational portion was great, the personal portion was beyond great and even more "educational". The message was clear and more important. Thanks for sharing this, Chris. Glad it was an epic weekend and time spent with your Mom!

Oh, Chris. That was a wonderful time you spent. I went out with my mother for lunch periodically and took photos at restaraunts, that were the good memories. The photos were shared with our relatives at the funeral and it was good. I did not have a chance to take such photos of my father. He passed away about ten years ago. But upon that, I started going out with my mother for a lunch, which turns out to have more chances to have communications and take photos.

Oh Chris. You got me there at the end :) I knew you would break my heart, and I watched it anyway, and shed a tear. I'm so happy you got to do this, and I'm doing my best to make the most time I've got with my folks. Thank you for sharing this, you're a good man Chris, and we are lucky to have you in our lives.

Just want to share that I’ve never watched a photo instructional video and ended up in tears (good ones!). Your sharing was so real and a reminder of what truly matters; not the ISO/RAW formats, but enjoying life with those we love. Truly thankful for your videos! Thanks for your honest sharing!

I love this so much. I just started crying when his mom was interested in what he did & she was proud of him! Also, I just want to say that my X-T4 is my first ever digital camera ( I've shot with an analog for my entire life, digital is just easier to archive & deliver to clients), so you've been the most clear & insightful person I've come across. I recently went on a trip & got overwhelmed trying to remember settings. Rather than missing shots, I just pulled out my phone & watched the video I needed to watch a few times. I felt stupid, but a kind stranger told me that I looked confident & professional as they walked by. I would like to believe it's because you take the leap to share with us even if you feel like someone else might do it better or it makes you feel vulnerable. It's much appreciated!!! 🧡

Dear Chris, I often come to your channel to learn 'new' stuff. This time I wanted a lesson on TIF files. Your videos do not age. Thanks
But the story about your mother and your photo shoot is very warm and touching. Hats off to you my friend.

Prof Fuji, the personal section of this video was the "real am sure most of us share this sentiment about parents, and go through such situations with family one time or the other. You touched a deep chord and thank you for this wonderful message. God bless you and family.

Chris, yr. 2nd half was brave & impressive. Had to share the ol saying - - "If you want to look out and see the world outside, then you have to raise up the window shades/blinds. In doing so, you also enable people to look inside." Although scarey, you did and people will be rewarded by your candor. TKS
