You are officially the Fuji Master Instructor, I wish that was a thing and I was able to give you that achievement! Kidding aside, you provide such a deep understanding of all things Fuji and that is a treasure for Fuji owners! You have taught me things I didn't even know existed with my camera! Thx Chris (you really do deserve that title!)

The best Fujifilm tip I’ve seen in a long while! I’d just add that seeing the natural live view shows you the true dynamic range of the camera, meaning you’re more likely to expose to the right, giving you better detail in the shadows. Having the “wysiwyg” live view and highlight clipping warning up, as you demonstrated, means you’re more likely to underexpose, for fear of clipping the highlights.
I’ve not even bothered with the highlight clipping warning, because it comes on too readily. I “know” that I have more headroom available in the raw file but, TBH, it can be a guessing game. Natural live view takes away the guess work, so I’m now going to turn highlight clipping and natural live view on. Hope that makes sense and thanks for the great tip!

Priceless, priceless feature and explanation - all this time I've been turning down my exposure to avoid clipping unnecessarily.

HUGE thank you, Chris. I use my XT3 in RAW only but had the natural live view set to off! It is now ON!! This is why your site is a must see/follow for all Fuji users!!!

Thank you so much for this. I always shoot raw, so this will be really handy. I had to check though, as I couldn't see that option on my X-T2. It turns out that this option has a different name on older models. It's still on the Set Up (wrench) menu under Screen set up, but on the X-T2 it's called Preview Pic. Effect.

You just made me fall in love with Fuji. Natural live view seems perfect for sunset highlight rolloff

Thank you Chris! Finally, I understand the live view feature. I could never, for the life of me, figure out the benefit of that setting, and I do shoot RAW, so now I have a new feature to play with. I love your 'control testing' to explain how and why to use it.
As for the preview of EXP/WB, this drove me absolutely crazy when I purchased my first speed light. . It took me a long time to find that setting and I have since added that setting to My Menu so it's quick to turn on/off. Great job!

Holy crap! That is a great tip! I’ve been using Fuji since the X-T1 came out and did not know about this feature. The “Natural Live View” one I mean. Thank you!

I’m certain that I have under exposed many shots because the highlight warning was basically lying to me! So for us RAW shooters, this is amazing!

This was a great tip! I always shoot in raw, and the eterna profile was perfect so that I don’t blow out highlights. But from now on I think I’ll try this live view option.

I just got a Fujifilm xt-30 and coming from canon at first I found it really difficult navigate, Sir you made it really easy for me to understand all the functions. Off course I have subscribed as I really enjoy your channel! Thank you.

Thank you so much! This explains why some of my JPEG’s highlights are so bright. Honestly life-changing 😆

Wow! I was wondering why the image preview of my RAW files has the film simulations from the camera. Now, I know the root cause. Thank you so much for this information, Chris! Great job!!!

This episode explained something I never understood about my camera. Thank you for your excellent work. It would be great to have an episode on how to use the in-camera histogram--or out of camera, for those of us who don't know how to read a histogram.
