If Contreras has us on a no trade clause, it could just mean that he would want his 17 mil option guaranteed if we grab him. (He probably has all big market teams on the no trade for this reason)

Also Kirk had a more productive season offensively than Contreras did as Kirk in 340 AB finished with 54 RBIs while Contreras only had 38RBIs in 301 ABs. In case you were wondering RBIs is what the offense lacked not just hitting. More hitting with runners in key positions not just hitting. Also Kirk might have had even more RBIs if they played him instead of constantly running Jansen (one of the most unproductive hitters with runners on not to mention his horrible defense) out there,

Calling trading for Wilson "taking a big wing" is so sad and depressing... because you're right - for our front office it actually is.... most pathetic front office in all of the MLB. No on Contreras. Soto will never sign with Toronto. Alonso is too one dimensional. Rooker would be a valuable addition. Bregman is not worth what the Astros will want in a trade. The Jays need to add multiple quality arms to the bullpen or they have no chance of competing next year.
