Get your mind around this Dariel. Mitch doesn't deserve the bullshit y'all keep talking about him being traded. He plays the role Thibs wants him to play better than anyone else. PERIOD. To get points from him is a bonus. You saw how Julius Randle played before the injury. He's ahead of schedule and he won't be complaining because Thibs is gonna factor him into the offense. He'll be fine. James Dolan endorsed him and he's staying. Get over it.

Let's leave Julius alone, for now. He has two more years on his contract, before he can walk. That trade you proposed is a resounding NO! Now...Let's talk the center postion. No one in NY is talking about Jarrett Allen. It's been said that Cleveland is looking to trade him. Seeing as how Thibbs doesn't value rookies so much, let's sign Precious, trade him along with Deuce, a 2025 unprotected first round pick, and the Knicks own 2026 first round pick, and offer that to Cleveland. Allen would be the final piece of the puzzle. We can then either look to trade Mitch or Sims to another interested team.

Im personally not in favor of trading Randle... But Jabari is a very interesting prospect for a few reasons.

1. He's 20 years old and already an impact defender that can guard 1-5. Adding Jabari to a wing duo of OG and Mikal AND elite rim protection in Mitch.... Can run some crazy defensive lineups (especially if Deuce is still in tow) Would be a Thibs wet dream. (Literally was watching a 32 min Jabari defensive highlight from last year)
2. He shot 36% from 3 last year and seemingly improves the spacing of the team
3. He's still on his rookie deal. Under team control for 3 more years at 9 -12 mil meaning it will be easier to add talent while maintaining financial flexibility with these new aprons. (Julius set to be paid very soon)
4. If we were to make a trade like this I would assume Steven Adams is brought back to solidify the Center position.
5. If Jabari takes a leap and reaches his pre draft potential you'd be set for 7-8 years instead of 3-4

All that said Julius creation and shot making ability can't be discounted.

I like Randle, and don't want to move him. I think he does fit this group better than many give him credit for. If by midseason the fit doesn't seem to be working I don't hate that rockets deal. Id try to get Eason included in the deal too. I'd do that Memphis trade right now.
