Honestly… his son is the sole owner of the legacy. Its an insult to all artists that struggle and to all those that just want to deliver a message of hope to others.

My dad was an artist. He would read and watch other painters. Every artist does. Bob wanted you to...he sold kits to get you started...had a tv show. Its still his work. His own style. Noone can perfectly copy another person. His son was a mess with drugs for a while.😮 Dont know how that all turned out. At the end of the day...Bob Ross was loved by many many people. RIP

What's the point of this video? We all have flaws. None of us are perfect. Leave the man alone.

Its two sides to the story. He tried while he was alive to get his son to start on the show and come behind him. He didn't want to, and I read once his son had a terrible drug habit, which was why the Kowalskis started ruling with an iron fist, so his son didn't try to take everything they all had built and threw it all away to drugs. In the documentary it implies that Ross was having an affair with Kowalski, and that Bob left his name to his son, but being what they called young and irresponsible, he put his brother as 51% and he signed it over to the Kowalskis. His son said it was because he was tricked, I think he was paid, and did it because he saw Rosses son wasting it all. Now there is no real proof to any of this, but knowing people as they are, it would not surprise me at all. Ross influenced a lot of people to get into art, me included. However, even though you may have seen the footage of Bill Alexander handing the almighty brush over to Ross, if you watch his episodes, taped way before Ross, you hear the slang happy little clouds etc. Alexander was actually a better painter until the end of Rosses career. But Ross and Alexander were not really that chummy, Bill stated that Ross betrayed him, by putting a patent on the way they did wet on wet, which Bill had taught Ross how to do. Between that and even stealing his sayings, Bill felt very betrayed. I never knew or realized this was true out of Bob, but if you watch Bill which was taped before Bob, you'll see and hear the styles very similar, except for Bill could be aggressive, and had a very thick German accent, where ross developed a very soft kind way on the show. I honestly think Bob Ross meant the right intentions and found painting to be his life. What he did to Bill was like many singers have done to other singers, they stole the song, it became popular and ticked the other singer off. A good example of this was Hound Dog by Elvis it was really sang by Big Mamma Thornton but was made more popular by Elvis. He got monetary reward for it, she did not. Seems unfair, but in the same breath, you can't help it if one person is admired more than others. It's also a good reason to have lawyers guide you if you start making good money. I think the Kowalskis were business people. I think to them it was always about making money, and as far as Bobs son, he was given a chance to have owned it all, had he put the determination and work in it as Bob did. He is still an artist, and he can't really use the Bob Ross name, but i don't know how they could ever stop him from saying he was Bobs son. That alone could help him start a line of his own. I'd bet Bob would have wanted him to, despite what the name was....

It's not about the man you were but that man you become.

We’ve all got skeletons in our closets . And those that don’t, are better at hiding them.

The three divorces, the green fog that permeates the end of the path which looks extremely eire, the fact he was a Drill Sargent who would scream at his recruits, let’s not be stupid about this one. There another Bob Ross that we don’t know about. It’s something that we should probably just let die and never find out the truth.

2:28 WOW. I've never seen a pic with his natural hair. He was in the military so he prob was adversely affected by that and it effed his mind some. He might have also felt some kind of guilt about his success given that it basically stemmed from him lifting Bill Alexander's technique wholesale and virtually passing it off as his own. Those Polish Jews were brutal in their pursuit of Ross' legacy and future incomes, weren't they?

Incredibly disgusting that the power of suggestion can generate this kind of BS and the sheep who follow this crap. This os why I dislike social media one person can stir the pot and sit back and laugh at how many people they can lure onboard to follow.
Social media was the beginning of the end for society.

Is this a person talking or AI generated text to speech? I'm really interested because I cannot tell just by listening.
