Announcing the release of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ as a deluxe box set to celebrate 50 years since the release of one of the best-selling albums of all time. Newly remastered, the box set will be released on 24th March 2023.

One of the most iconic and influential albums ever, Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ continues to find new audiences globally. The album was partly developed during live performances, and the band premiered an early version of the suite at London’s Rainbow Theatre several months before recording began. ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ is the eighth studio album by Pink Floyd, originally released in the US on 1 March and then in the UK on 16th March 1973. The new material was recorded in 1972 and 1973 at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road studios) in London. The iconic sleeve, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis and drawn by George Hardie. ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ has sold over 50 million copies worldwide.

The new deluxe box set includes CD and gatefold vinyl of the new 2023 remastered studio album and Blu-Ray + DVD audio featuring the original 5.1 mix and remastered stereo versions. The set also includes additional new Blu-ray disc of Atmos mix plus CD and LP of ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon - Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974’. For full details see listing below.

I played this for my dad as he was passing away. It was just him and i in the hospital room and he was at that stage where there were no more words that could be spoken. All i could think to do is play some of his favorite albums for him, with him, one last time while i held his hand. I miss that man so much. This album will always remind me of him.

I was 19, she was 17. She took me into her room, into her arms, into her heart and into her. We made love the first time while this album played. She was magical. We later married and had two sons. She is gone now, HPV. God I miss you Miki. Thank you Pink Floyd. You made it mystical. Roy 67

I discovered Pink Floyd during the summer of 1991 when I was 16. I was enrolled in a summer program for high schoolers at a private college in Georgia, miles from home. I had heard the name "Pink Floyd, " but I had never heard their music. My dorm roommate had a copy of the Wall, and when he played it, I was blown away.

I immediately bought the album when I got home. Later that summer, I went to Virginia Beach with a friend and his parents. He and I had wandered into a record store right off the beach. I bought Dark Side of the Moon, and couldn't wait to hear it. That evening, we went somewhere, and we asked his mom if we could stay in the car and listen to music. She was cool with that, and I immediately played this album. I absolutely loved it. My friend, however, did not.

By the time the school year had started, I had acquired every Pink Floyd album from this one to Delicate Sounds of Thunder. I spent the remainder of my senior year hunting down all their other albums and compilations, until I had collected them all (not counting the British versions of their records.)

I still love Pink Floyd to this day, and I still declare this album as an absolute masterpiece.

This album changed my whole perspective of life. As in it's cover, my life was more colorful after listening this record. Simply one of the best things that could happen to my life. Thank you for sharing this to the world!

I was 11 years old when this album came out and my older sister was 14 (RIP). She always had the cool albums and she had this album first. I remember going to Sears store in 1977 and picking up this album for myself after hearing it. From what I can remember, it never left my turntable. I played it and played it. It was life-changing for me. All these years later at 61 years old with terminal cancer I still listen to this album all the time and all of Pink Floyd’s collection. It’s been my favorite band forever.

In a span of 1.5 weeks I have lost my Mom and now my Brother. I am the only one left as Dad passed away 2 years ago. Thank you for uploading this - my Brother and I had the same affinity for great music…and it doesn’t get much better than this. God bless you all and to my brother Guy, I will see you on the dark side of the moon…

I'm 68 and this is STILL my favorite album of all time. When I was a senior in high school this album came out. I bought the 8 track and set it to auto loop, listening to it as I slept every night for several years. Where is the good music these days?

At last an official version on Youtube with no interruptions between songs, this is the proper way to listen to this masterpiece.
Edit: Reading some of the comments saying that listening to it on youtube is not the proper way, I want to clarify that I have it on vinyl and I have a great turntable and audio equipment. For me that's the best way to listen to it... but what I meant is that it should be listened to without interruptions.

In 1973, my neighbor came running across the street and started beating on my window, he said you have got to come hear this...he had an incredible sound system in his room, we darkened the room, one of the greatest and timeless musical experiences I've ever had...this album defies to be tied to any musical decade..
