Having lived in Mt Shasta city, I can personally attest to multiple individuals just evaporating without a trace. In the 5 years I lived there, 3 people I knew of, one of whom I knew well, just vanished. Homeless and traveling kids dissappear on the regular... no news stories or searches are conducted.

The cases where the person disappears and reappears in a place where it would be improbable for them to get to due to time, distance or terrain are the cases that are really interesting.

Something strange, that I've heard Dave Paulides mention a few times on his 411 podcast. Nobody goes missing as long as they have a tracking device on them. It's like whatever is taking these people knows who is carrying one and who isn't.

I was almost a missing person on Mount Shasta when I was a youngster. I mean myself with my dog. We were out hunting with my dad on the north side of the mountain and we were separated. We were just above the snow line and my dog and I try to cross a creek and we both fell in the water. Luckily I was aware enough of where I was and ran to 4 miles back to our hunting camp.

I had an experience above timberline on Mt Shasta in 1975 or 76. Above Lake Helen in Avalanche Gulch rocks and boulders came down on our group.
It critically injured a member of our group and involved her being rescued by National Guard helicopter. I have alot of respect for the mountain.

I am from Mount Shasta called it home for around 35 years and strange lights are seen almost constantly, especially in the last few years for me. We have seen incredible light shows in multiple locations that are truly unexplained.

I lived in Mt. Shasta for 3 years from 2012 to 15. Never heard of any disappearances. My doctor climbed to the top as have many others who returned safely.
