One of the most famous incidents occurred in 1986 when a Japanese crew of a commercial airplane flying over Alaska reported seeing a UFO. The object was described as a massive disc-shaped craft with a bright, pulsating light. The sighting was confirmed by radar and witnessed by multiple pilots and air traffic controllers.

A highly experienced pilot should be respected regarding things like this. Im right there with you Sir, because I'm a pilot also, and i observed what is called "The Phoenix Lights" back in March 97.

My Dad was stationed at a NORAD radar station in Alaska in 1960s, cause he didn't want to go to Vietnam. USAF personnel saw UFOs, the techs confirmed they showed up on radar. There were some inside jokes about " little green men" and it was forgotten.
