I climbed Mt. Shasta twice in the seventies, first up Whitney Glacier on the north face, and then up Avalanche Gulch above the Sierra Club hut. We tried the second climb in February during a drought year and had to turn around at Red Rocks, about 10k ft, it started snowing about halfway down.
I would like to see some statistics backing up "numerous" missing people on the mountain, not just one guy...

I still don't understand why they left him alone, why didn't all of them go together to the next point? That's the real question!

How stupid can you be to choose to go it alone on a mountain with that kind of reputation?

"He either went up, or in the mountain. But He's not on the mountain" ...maybe he's under the mountain.

I’ve lived right below Mt Shasta( and I’m going back). For those that know you can feel things there.

I think Bigfoot stumbled across a new play buddy & took him home, got sick of him after a few days & gobbled him up🤪

So the missing hiker left no footprints?

I’ve seen eerie lights and smells around Mount Trashmore near Cedar Rapids, IA.

If no evidence of body found, must be fogs/mist taken him away into thin air at that elevation. I've lived by the south edge of the mountain for 3 years, nothing crazy happened besides heavy three feet of snow or more every winter. I drove up there countless times. Green mosses and fogs are unique in that high elevation area.

I used to love Mising 411, now that more information is available about some of these cases, I realize Dave isn't the greatest investigator

no need for investigation when those 2 mens should have followed his steps in the and he was the other guy ** partner ** and what happens to partners in most movie, they get wacked. And whats with the finding one of your friend is cold and instead of accompying him they just said : hey go up there by yourself since you are looking cold or weak, we gonna be there right after you and let their friend walk alone for 650 meters on a windy cold mountain.... it makes no sense, it do not add up logically.

They said he looked cold? Well, yeah, corpses don't retain much heat. Poor Carl. RIP.

Left alone and cold, he probably wandered off a distance and simply wasn’t found. Or perhaps he met with foul play? The Alien insinuation is just bogus.

First clue: "he looked cold". Any climber should have seen that RED FLAG, as a PHYSICAL/MENTAL PROBLEM!!
Second clue: his "buddies" "suggested" he "travel ahead".( Ignoring RED FLAG of first clue).
Third clue: "approx 650 feet" to next stop. 650' feet= approx 216 yards. Well within visual distance( above tree line). Probably within hearing distance.
Fourth clue: something stinks!!
