I love the saying "Comparison is the thief of joy." It's all perspective, and if you are happy and healthy then that is all that matters.

Bravo! Like you just said suffering is suffering.. whatever that’s means to the individual. Let’s stop comparing one another all the time 🙏🙏

I love that you made a video where you intended to complain/ rant and yet your beautiful soul spent most of the video sharing helpful tips and encouraging others! 💜

Keep the solo parenting videos coming! They are important and there are a lot of people (men and women) in your shoes! -- ME included! And I'm hungry for tips and experiences from mamas like you as many of the friends in my circle have different home set-ups and just can't relate. I have a 3 month period of solo parenting coming up this summer and I find it difficult to balance managing on my own AND also trying to keep equality in our home. So keep the videos coming!! I appreciate them (AND YOU!)

It reminds me of the quote "saying someone can't be sad because others have it worse is like saying someone can't be happy because others have it better" 💕

Same. My husband is gone half the time. Literally half the week or half the month. It’s never gotten easier. I’m exhausted. It’s exhausting. Parenting is hard for everyone. It’s okay for any of us at any point to say “this is hard. I’m tired. I need a break.”

I've been saying that for years! It is never a competition about whose life is worse. There will always be somebody going through something worse than you but that doesn't mean you're not allowed to be upset or stressed or whatever.

So much YES! Your solo-parenting stories, tips, tricks etc were/are inspiring no matter what season my family was in - and note worthy now that I'm a single momma. Hard is hard and support is critical.

Well said! I'm also a stay at home mom, running a business and I've been doing the same, working only while my son is in school and once I pick him up, no work and it's "us" time: we run errands, play outside and later take care of house chores. I've been doing that for almost a year and it's been so much less stressful! I love it!

As a SAHM I find myself really noticing when hubby is gone during the weekend or on a work trip how much that little time he’s home at night and weekends helps so much. When he’s gone and I have to pick up his tasks it’s hard and equals a pretty much non existent “me time”. So yes solo parenting is hard and I can’t imagine what it’d be like weeks on end 😭. You’re doing great addressing this struggle, cause it’s real! Thank you.

Some people will always find a reason to make you feel bad for whatever they think is your fault. But to some people your vlogs might contain complaints for things other people have worse or whatever...for me it is an example that am not alone in this...I am not the only mom who struggles or yells at her kids sometimes. I am not the only one who needs help or who needs to complain time to time a bit to filter my head...and that is soooo important. You are brave for doing this because even if you know you will be judged by some you also hope that you will help others...and that is so nice of you and so important. I watch your channel since I was pregnant 4yrs ago and for this whole time whenever I struggle I go back to your vlogs and i try to find the similar time of year and age of your kids as mine so i have something similar to deal with and i watch it for tips and sometimes just to see there is at least one other momma who deals with similar things....it helps so freaking much!! Never let those who try to drag you down get close to you...they are not worthy. You are one of few "internet" mommas out there who helps us other mommas feel more ok and more brave! 😘😘 THANK YOU!

Yessss! Suffering is suffering. Sorry you have to deal with this.

We're content creators too and we travel full time with our toddler- let me tell you, being a content creator and being self employed is NOT easy. I wouldn't change it for a thing, but I swear I put in more hours now than I ever have at a "regular" job. You're a rockstar Amanda, keep doing what you're doing.

Yes!!! Thank you for saying what needed to be said! Comparison is the worst, struggle is still struggle whether it’s less than someone else’s.

Parenting is difficult at best. Perspective is how we survive and thus important as you mentioned.

I feel you and thanks for ALL the videos you do. It’s hard to believe my 3 year old was days old when I found you and how much we have grown (you, my son and myself).
One tip we do here is talk about what things we will tell daddy about. We want to include him in what we are doing even if it is just in thought. We like to make plans of things we will do when he gets back.

Love this! My husband has been in Regina training for 16 weeks and IT. IS. BRUTAL. If you're a single parent, I understand you have your struggles too but ain't nobody telling me that what I am dealing with isn't extremely difficult. It was difficult for one week, it was difficult at week two, and it is definitely still difficult but it isn't any worse at week 15 than it is at week 7. Also, when your kids are used to a 2 parent household you are also dealing with some BIG emotions on top of running the ship on your own. People are so damn catty.

Yes!!! 🙌🏻 Of course someone has it worse...I heard someone say recently that telling someone they can’t complain because somebody has it worse is like saying you can’t rejoice in the good times because someone else has it better. That’s helped me to keep it in perspective. Just don’t compare! 😊 You can always find someone who has it worse, but that doesn’t mean your “hard” isn’t hard. ❤️
