Real Fix for Android Not Receiving Texts - SMS [SOLVED]

If you are facing issues with the messaging service on your android phone, and you are not able to receive texts or SMS, then this simple method will help you fix it.

When the cache and the data has reached it's maximum or the messaging service not working properly, we'd like to reset or clear the data on it.

To do this, On your Android Phone go to Settings, Apps, and look for Messaging. Now go into Storage and Tab on Clear Data - confirm the message and this will reset the messaging service on the phone. Hopefully this will fix the issue and you can receive text messages again.

WE also recomend you using the google messages app instead of the default stock app that came with the phone, as this one works better and offers much more features.

Just commenting to thank you for this video. Clearing the data and cache and restarting my phone was the exact thing that fixed it. Once I restarted, I got a ton of messages flooding in at once lol.

Awesome thank you!!!! This actually works. I did try clearing the stuff on the settings. That didn't work. I tried downloading another message app like mentioned and my goodness I received over 20 texts within setting it as default. Thank you!
