Edit: hey guys, it’s been a year since I made this comment, and I still get replies and questions on it, so I thought I would give everyone a money update- I’m now in my fourth year as an airline pilot, and my annual salary is about 110k. I’m soon to cross an anniversary with my airline, which means a pay raise to the next tier, which will push my annual salary to around 200k.

If you are paid $92 a flight hour and are capped at 1000 flight hours a year, wouldn’t your normal salary be capped at $92k?

As a part 141 student and instrument rated pilot. I have shopping around and most regional airline pilot make $85-$95k now. However, this vary. This used to be $55k a year. I am consider working in private and then moving up to airline.

Correcti: it is not a dollar for dollar match on the 401(k). It is a contribution. The pilot does not have two give anything to the plan.
