Answer - Pilots are one of the highest-paid professionals in India. Aviation is growing at a rapid rate and the need for pilots is also growing.

On an average, a first officer gets nearly Rs.5 Lakh and a Captain from Rs.7 Lakh to Rs.10 Lakh, per month. These figures are not precise and they depend on the airline and the seniority of a pilot. Seniority is not rank, but the experience. Every major domestic airline pays their pilots within this range.

Here are the post and salaries:

Junior First officer: Rs.1.5 Lakh to Rs.2 Lakh per month.
Senior First officer: Rs.3 Lakh to Rs.5 Lakh per month.
Captain: Rs.5 Lakh to Rs.8 Lakh per month.
Line training Captain: Rs.10 Lakh.
