8.6 hours in the logbook so far at my little Part 61. 52 years old and took the FAA a year to make sure I could get a 1sr class medical, so you can bet I’ll take advantage of some of this premium pay once I get in the cockpit.

I have a long way to go to be in this position (I’m commissioning into the marine corps as a pilot if I’m selected next year and I’ll have a 8 year service obligation after flight school so about 10 years total) but if I’m not selected I’m definitely going to go this route and fly commercially

Maybe I missed something but it's unlikely to make $1M a year with only a 50% hourly rate increase, except if your "basic" salary is already around +$660, 000/year
