While Islam claims that the Kaaba was an Abrahamic element, all actual evidence and reasoning proves Islam wrong.

I find it very strange that for a religion that is strict against idolatry and doesn't even want images of its prophet made, their holiest place revolves around a rock that they consider sacred. And it had been there from pagan times before Islam existed. Its almost like they took this one idol and weaved it into Islam.

I am not a Muslim or an ex Muslim. I have so much respect for the strength it takes to leave something like this behind. I was raised in a cult called the Jehovah's Witnesses. When you leave the religion you become dead to your family. Parents won't visit you even if your in critical condition in the hospital and you might die. If they were legally allowed to execute you they would. From what I see Islam can at least be that extreme. I respect all of you who are brave enough to make that choice. As an Exmuslim from Makkah I’d like to correct some misinformation. Pre Islamic Arabia was not primitive and literature was an integral part of society. It is only painted as primitive by Muslims today, calling it the days of “Jahuliyah” (ignorance) to justify their bigotry when they destroyed our rich culture and history.

Arabs from Makkah used to hang their poetry on the Kaaba to flex their linguistic prowess amongst each other and would often have poetry battles, that’s how important it was.

Mosque over temples has so many examples. In India and most famously in Israel in Jerusalem, they’ve built a mosque over the remains of the Jewish temple. I don’t think a religion of peace would desecrate another man’s work for their own god.
