Al-Hajar al-Aswad, also known as the Black Stone, is a large stone located in the corner of the Kaaba, which is the holiest place for Muslims in Saudi Arabia.

Muslims believe that this rock is actually a meteorite that archangel Gabriel handed over to the prophet Abraham.

The Black Stone is cut in half and encased in a silver frame, with one half embedded in the Kaaba's outer wall and the other half displayed inside the building.

The Black Stone is considered a sacred object in Islam and is kissed or touched by many Muslims during the pilgrimage to Mecca, known as the Hajj.

Al-Hajar al-Aswad is believed by Muslims to be a meteorite that was brought to Mecca by the angel Gabriel and given to the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to be placed in the Kaaba. The stone is revered for its spiritual significance and is said to have been kissed and touched by the Prophet Muhammad. It is also said to have been incorporated into the Kaaba during its reconstruction by the Prophet Ibrahim and his son Isma'il.

The stone is set into the eastern corner of the Kaaba, and it is not clear what the original size and shape of the stone was before it was set into the Kaaba. It is now encased in a silver frame and is covered in a black silk and gold curtain known as the kiswah.

I went here in 2016, didn’t get to touch the stone because it was so crowded but I did manage to touch the Kaaba. the whole Kaaba smells really good!! Even now I still remember the scent.

Actually : The stone is from the Paradise and was at first white, but then after a long time it turned black because of the sins we humans do and because of our sins the stone turned black.

Just to clarify.. The black part is not the stone. The stone is now shattered to pieces and if u look closely u'll see the small pieces. Also inside the building everyone is not permitted to enter. Only a few lucky persons, to clean up.
