I am Catholic from Europe, and I know that according to the Muslim religion the Kaaba means cube and has been built by Abraham and his son Ismael, the father of the Arabs. During tawaf the believers try to touch and kiss the Black Stone in a corner. Ismael is the son of Hagar, and they were sent to desert. Hagar hurried between two rocks to find water and found the Zamzam well. Please let me know if I am right?

Dear Corey, Ka’bah is not the stone, Ka’ba is the whole black structure. The stone is called Al-Hajr al-Aswad (the black stone). The black stone is the only original stone that remained from the original structure built by Abraham and Ishmael, thus it’s revered.

Okay, they seems to misunderstand what kaaba actually even the interviewer doesn't understand.
The kaaba is not a stone, it's a room like structure called the house of Allah. Muslims consider this room to be the first official mosque or place where a human prostrated and worshipped the creator.
The stone is place in one of the corners of the room, this stone is considered to be from heaven, there is a story behind that if you want more info....
It was built or rebuilt by abraham but that doesn't mean abraham made only this mosque. He probably made other rooms or mosques to worship the creator inside them. If you google, you will find other similar structures as kaaba who people not only muslims believe were built by abraham.

Muslims consider this place as holy, and as we muslim believe islam is not new religion but prophet Muhammad s.a.w was the last messenger so other messengers taught and preached the same message.

Lastly you cant say muslims worship the kaaba, if you say this then you you have to face a lot of questions. To jews and example would be why jews face the temple wall and shake their heads in submission. Or why Christians kiss the cross and kneel to it?...if I'm arrogant I would say they worship them and blah bla bla but you need to read things from the primary source to understand them.

It was built by Abraham and Ishmael together, when Ishmael was abandoned in the desert there a fountain was given to him, we even drink from that till this day, Zamzam spring. We also follow the symbolic walk that Hagar did when finding water for Ishmael when he was thirsty (pbuh)

When We settled for Abraham the site of the House [saying], Do not ascribe any partners to Me, and purify My House for those who circle around it, and those who stand [in it for prayer], and those who bow and prostrate themselves.(22:26)

˹Remember˺ when Abraham prayed, “My Lord! Make this city ˹of Mecca˺ secure, and keep me and my children away from the worship of idols.
My Lord! They have caused many people to go astray. So whoever follows me is with me, and whoever disobeys me—then surely You are ˹still˺ All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.(14:35-36)

As Abraham raised the foundations of the House(kaaba) with Ishmael, [they prayed]: ‘Our Lord, accept it from us! Indeed You are the All-hearing, the All-knowing.(2:127)
‘Our Lord, make us submissive to You, and [raise] from our progeny a nation submissive to You, and show us our rites [of worship], and turn to us clemently. Indeed You are the All-clement, the All-merciful.’ (Quran 2:128)

Abraham prayed: "My Lord, make this a peaceful land, and provide its people with fruits. Provide for those who believe in GOD and the Last Day." (God) said, "I will also provide for those who disbelieve. I will let them enjoy, temporarily, then commit them to the retribution of Hell, and a miserable destiny." (Quran 2:126)

(Abraham prayed) Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants(Ishmael) in an barren valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful (Quran 14:37)
