I have entered the Kaba when I was a small boy. That day there were very very few people and surprisingly it was being washed and they needed few volunteers. My dad climbed in. The man inside inside pulled me and my siblings and few other men in and it looked not like this. Was so ancient and those silver pots were so so ancient too hanging around on top and there wasn’t any lights so kind of dark. When we were climbing the stairs to reach the top exit, the wooden stairs were also so ancient and shaky I thought they would break at any moment. Reached the top. Helped pull the black cover. Prayed inside. It was an experience I never forget. I guess the upgrade was recent. They should have try their best to keep it as ancient as possible with just upgrading the stairs. You could directly feel the times and presence of the prophets’ time.

Before Muhammad....there are hundreds of small kaabas with its own idol (worshipers normally pay/offering money to their preferred kaaba...the more famous kaaba received more offerings). Only during Mohammad the rest are demolished leaving only the Al-Lat kaaba..and stands till today.

The original Kabah actually not in perfect cube. 1 side of it actually curved, and currently there is no wall on it, and it's located outside of the current shape. So basically you can enter Ka'bah without going inside the current Kabah building. Wallahu a'lam

I have done Hajj. Would like to know what the pot things are hanging. I question things and trust I'm not walking around some pagan relic. I know we are not to worship none but Allah. However I saw some behaviour that made me think some people worship the Kaaba itself.

Everyone must remember, the Kaaba has been completely reconstructed a number of times. The location has remained the same but the original size, interior and shape is not the same. People must understand. This is a place of pilgrimage but not only that, a direction point for all Muslims to pray toward. To ask why is to question God and why He thinks it appropriate. Like why we pray and why there’s certain rituals. It’s the decree. If you question everything then you’ll never understand or agree because your mind will make a conclusion based on your small knowledge and understanding however, if there is a Creator which I believe there is, there is a wisdom to everything beyond our comprehension.

Love this! I showed it to my 5 year old, he's obsessed with the Kaaba, thanks this was a great video. I didn't know most of the facts and yes you're right - lol I've been 5 times now (Alhumdulillah) the most I could hope for was at one time I happened to be there when the doors were open of the Kaaba - but you have to be royalty to be allowed in there lol. But one fact (my favourite one) Imam Ali was the only one ever born inside the Kaaba - it's a beautiful story in case you wanted to look into that too
