How does this only have 2.2K views and 1 comment? This is GOLD. Thank you! Also, array examples are why I like named ranges so much, especially when teaching beginners advanced formulas.

10:27 a much simpler alternative to the problem in 10:27 =SUM(COUNTA(UNIQUE(B5:B16)))

EDIT: Also works for the empty cells.

I couldn't get this lesson unfortuntely .. Several questions need your kindly comment(if possible..)... 1. What exactly the difference from arragy formulas and the normal formulas? Except example 1, 6, I've tried other examples, all can be get the same result using normal fomula, so why exactly the array formula works differently? 2. When should use {}, means array fomula? example 6, I tried normal fomula, and yes, the names have to use {} to work properly, but why? humm, I still don't know in what kind of circumstances to use {}... I will keep on the expert lessons though.. But now I start to doubt my capability to go further... LOL..
