I have a big meeting in an hour with a six figure deal/investment on the table. I feel like I’m in a walking movie. From just following you in your emails, your class, etc. gave me the confidence to set this up and it’s actually happening today. I wouldn’t of even had the confidence to set this up or the know how without following you. I appreciate it a lot.

That line about how stress takes up a lot of mental energy which makes it hard to not be lazy and work toward your goals…. Literally applies to me 100% and never thought about it like that. Great point!

You are the only one who really made me take action towards my goals,
I would never thank you enough for this

I am really glad I found this channel. I have been living in the stressed/chaotic state you described for several years. Even though I advance in my 9-5 job(s), I always feel in the back of my mind that I am procrastinating (because my goals are not aligned with how I'm spending my day, so the work I'm doing for "Work" is not alleviating the sense of procrastination).

I wish counselors were aware of these types of instructions. It's so simple how you created a layout to reassess your routines. I think this is something everyone needs, especially if their mental health is already struggling. It might not cure depression/anxiety, but it seems really, really important that our daily lives are matching up with our goals/purpose

The energy part is huge. I fight with my own thoughts all day by the time I sit down to work on myself I'm out of RAM.

I just discovered your channel today. You break things down in such an orderly and clear way. I think of myself as a fairly organized person, but listening to this video I realize I really need to “clean house” in my brain, and especially clear out some bad habits, like procrastinating. I also tend to sabotage myself (unintentionally) and need to stop making poor decisions…
Thank you ☺️

Hey Dan, your channel has so much value.
Hands down the best and most concrete advices I got from a self development/self growth channel.
I always take notes when I watch your videos or listen to a podcast episode or read a koe letter.
Thanks for the value you provide!

One thing I’ve noticed even before this exercise is when I’m writing ( and I’ve been hitting my one woman business for over a year now) I start feeling guilty because I must be neglecting something. I know it comes from years of being told what and when to do things, and mostly, that these people in my life expected me to drop everything to help them. I have been working on “those people “ for a couple years now and so it surprised me to feel those feelings of letting others down. I hope to get rid of that feeling soon altogether:)

I love this video. This video was literally the key to get the cogs in my brain to start moving.

Great video. A similar solution helped me get on track after years of having a messy mind. I used a notebook to check on my progress everyday by storing down what I did right and at the end of my week I did review. Few lines or few words go a long way. Honestly I did not expect that to work. I thought I would stop at day three, and here I am at week 10. It got me through being sick for 3 weeks and I could go back to acting on my goals after recovery. That usually does not happen so swiftly.
Last week I started to feel sidetracked so I did a mid week review and it helped me get my thoughts clear again. I think the act of writing in itself helps the minds in ways that are not obvious.
It worked wonders for me. I hope other people try it.

It's easy to put energy every day to stay in a good mode than put a lot of energy triying to recover from a really bad way, so, I prefer to do little but important things each day to maintain focus on my goals. Thanks for sharing Dan.

Last year I told myself I was going to focus on my mental and physical well-bring (aka fitness). Suffice it to say the best laid plans of mice and men never materialise if you fail to plan. Skip ahead to this year, I am taking actionable steps to achieve my goals. The simplest yet the hardest part is mental; I schedule a daily walk in the morning (10, 000 steps per day). Instead of finding excuses not to take the walk, I found an unofficial external accountability partner. I say unofficial accountability partner because the person is unaware that I use them to hold myself accountable; our paths cross in the park so we see each other and merely say "hello." Afterwards, at home I focus on the second goal - creating a sustainable one-person business. On the days that I walk 10, 000 steps, I feel energised and can easily concentrate on the second goal instead of seeking distractions. The follow-through component is vital to success.

Waw. Now I can say who I aspire to become. Your journey, your obsessions, and your content are exactly what I want to share with the world with my vision. You are a tremendous inspiration to me. I always saw you on YT & Linked In but never took the time to really grasp and digest your content. Now that I did, my vision is expanded like never before.

Do you have a video where you share your journey from start to finish?

So good Dan! I definitely pulled out my journal for this one. Resetting your life every now and then is almost necessary. Pick your head up, figure out what you need to do different. change your life.

Years ago I was a new teacher and had to write lesson plans. That stressed me out. It was like writing a screenplay, or short plays and I had to anticipate all the character moves, and positions. I felt overwhelmed by the task. I wanted simply to prepare myself, teach the class, and then create a post plan.

Any way, many many hours were lost to my just sitting there staring at nothing bc I was so stressed.

I still get that way sometimes. Maybe this is a way through…
