Yeah no brother, you’re saying someone can come to Christ then walk off and live a totally willfully sinning life and still be with Him, that’s what you’re saying by this statement and scripture doesn’t say that. There’s no loophole so you can do whatever you want and make it in at the last moment because you just prayed a prayer of salvation.
Salvation is relationship with The Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. There are examples in scripture where people left the faith. There’s warnings against falling away all through the New Testament, where people were lead away by all sorts of different things because they chose to leave the faith, that’s why there’s so many warnings about it because you can loose your salvation by walking away.
You can willing walk away from Him and deny Him; Jesus also said “if you deny me in front of others, I will deny you I. Front of my Father.” The scripture you read is saying those who truly belong to Christ are His and are given to Him by the Father because they’ve been drawn by Him. This scripture is not speaking of losing your salvation this is stating that those who belong to Christ are His and no one can forcibly take you from Him, but you can choose to leave, you are not kept captive, He gave you free will because He wants people to come freely to Him, His kids to come back willingly to their Father, just like the prodigal son, he freely left the Father with his inheritance, went and squandered it on things of this world and fleshly desires, then willingly came back just serve in the Father’s house, but was then restore as a son; the son sought repentance. The Fathers arms are open to the one who walks away, talking about salvation, and He’s willing to forgive and restore us. So yes you can loose salvation if you choose to leave and give it up.
I share this much love for you brother and other fellow followers of Christ. May you be blessed.
