John MacArthur: CAN I LOSE MY SALVATION?

Dr. John MacArthur is—far and away—America’s greatest Bible teacher. In 2015, I had a burning desire to understand what the Bible really meant, however, everywhere I searched, all
I found was grossly undereducated men who called themselves “preachers” or “pastors” who were chiefly interested in:
1. Making money
2. Gaining popularity
3. Spreading a false gospel

It was quite obvious to me they had very little Biblical knowledge.

MacArthur, on the other hand, has a vast knowledge of the Bible and goes to great pains to explain it so articulately. I can honestly say that he changed the direction of my life. I am forever grateful to find such a wonderful teacher. Therefore, I’ve created this YouTube channel in order to propagate his accurate and thorough Biblical teachings.

Here you will find a wealth of information on virtually any subject in God’s Word. You can search by scripture, Books of the Bible, or keywords.

MacArthur is not focused on making money, unlike many false Christian preachers today. You can download his sermons for FREE! Just click on this link to go directly to his sermons.

I pray that God blesses you with a deeper understanding of the Word of God!

Makes a lot of sense. We obtained salvation by faith not by works, therefore we can't lose it by works. Once the Holy Spirit dwells in you it's permanent, and He will guide you in paths of righteousness and truth.

Once saved, always saved AS LONG as we remain in Jesus. He doesn’t force anyone to remain in Him. It is our daily choice. In 1 Corinthians 9:27 the apostle Paul said, “ But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.”

John 18:9
“That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.”

When man tries to bring the understanding of God down to his level he is not accepting by faith what God has to offer. That is a true and secure salvation in Christ sealed by The Holy Spirit. Grace that is sufficient for all! Amen

I've always told people that once saved equals always saved; the question is are you really saved or are you just playing Church...

If I could DO to lose it I could also DO to earn it. Salvation is by grace, solely through absolute faith in the Lamb of God.

Plenty of religious Christians believe and teach salvation is earned and, therefore, can be unearned. Stupid and unfortunate. Saved by grace; it's a gift.

Thank you Lord for grace, thank you for Godly teachers !

The "salvation of God by His grace" has been God's plan revealed in His Eternal Covenant made in contract with His Son, then promised to us, exemplified in the faithful life of Abraham, and the very beginning of His creation of the world. Grace all the way, Faith all the way.

For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

What I’ve been QUICKLY learning is to never use a verse to justify a point but keep it all in context of the chapter and book/epistles. There’s always a “…but!” to some of these verses

We must be His imitator and follow His Word only, not a church, a pastor or another person no matter how Godly they themselves say they are.

We must come as a child, in humility trusting Jesus in every single area in our lives, Jesus the Healer. Jesus the Restorer. Jesus the Comforter.
You see, when we are His child we will not go to another to be spirituality fed.

Because of one scripture saying we must not forsake the assembly of meeting together.
First we must meet with our Lord God Almighty, thee Living Jesus who comes to dwell within us and when that happens l can 100% guarantee that you will not run to a church, where a man is preaching, nope we sit with Jesus and He feeds us what we need so as to enter a pure, holy, righteous Kingdom
That is what Jesus has me do and it good as there us no other place l must be, just to sit at His Feet and be still.

I don't need glory, I don't want glory, I just long to be loved.

I agree how people can't lose their salvation. There's a lot of Bible verses such as 1 John 2:19, 1 John 5:13, and John 10:28 that show how people can't lose their salvation. When someone accepts Christ in their heart and means it in their heart, repents and turns away from being a slave to sin, surrenders their life to Christ, put their trust in Christ, etc, God changes them, and they experience all kinds of changes in their life due to God changing them such as being born again, being a new creation, having a changed heart, not being a slave to sin anymore (they still sin, still have sin weaknesses, still have sin struggles, still make mistakes in life, still aren't perfect, etc but aren't slaves to sin anymore), wanting to live for the Lord, wanting to serve the Lord, always being saved, never walking away and abandoning the faith, never becoming an ex-Christian, persevering in the faith until the end, enduring in the faith until the end, etc. This is how God changes someone when they become saved.

Obedience and works are NOT the same thing. And obedience is absolutely required as the entire Bible testifies too.

How does one reconcile once saved always saved with the parable of the sower? There are people who receive the word and believe it but fall away when difficulty come. There are people whose faith is choked by their love of the world which can be money, loved ones, careers, i.e. loving anything more than Christ (a lot of believers fit in that category).

It is only the crop that produces fruit that will be spared.

Matthew 13 vs 18-23
18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
