Well I did the deal for the Chester Cheetah today based on what you said and other comments. Bad thing is that it won't be here until Monday or Tuesday.

Will you review the new mofi 6500 so far my 5500 like you said less speed than the TMobile home internet 5w66 whatever smcom one and that newer white one I rented it was bomb

They are referring to the LTE modem update to 03.10.07 and the MOFI update to 4.6.7. Be careful with the modem update. It created issues with my 5500 9191 and I had to send it in to have it replaced as it was disconnecting every 1-2 mins on any carrier that I tried per the system logs.

Can you tell what is the best way to boost the signal for 5G Verizon ASK router. Can you take the card out and put it in a Cellular Router. I like to put in an outdoor antenna.

I wonder if this one is better at wifi calling and ipv6. so far have had no luck with Alfredo at Chester. With my tower now serving n25, and massively throttling b2/b66, for me to get any kind of speed anymore I have to use a 5g SA device since NSA is being phased out for my local towers (b2 shares 1900mhz with n25, so they changed channel width to only 5mhz so they could dedicate more of spectrum to n25 performance at expense of b2).

I ordered a cudy router with 4x4 external, and I’m going to try it with the regular antennas, then with a waveform 4x4 and see how it goes with Verizon since I have to cancel T-Mobile because it doesn’t work where I’m at now.

After replying to this yesterday I did the new firmware 4.6.7. again. And I found that it really made my speeds slower by about 20-40Mbps. So there was no help here. I just wanted to make sure that it was what happened. Plus it would not lock onto N41 and stay either. COME ON CHESTER CHEETAH AND GET HERE!

If I'm seeing correctly, you actually had worse numbers this time. Looks like you were having higher latency, both download and upload. Being rural like me it would be interesting to see what your daytime numbers are. For me there is usually less competition for bandwidth about midmorning.

The speed boost only works when using 5G bands. Also, mofi 5500 has issues disconnecting when using band n41. Can't get any help from mofi or Sierra.

I have a cell tower 2.1 miles straight north I can see it and the blinking light on it but it's about 50ft away from my house where I can see it is on my fence line in front of my house there's trees down the road probably 1/8 of a mile thick 1/4 of a mile down by using my phone the signal if I put it by the fence is -89 in my house it's -119 should I put a antenna up on my roof and shoot through the trees or put one on my fence the cable will have to be around 60 feet what kind of signal do you think I would gain. ya this MOFI5500 vs Chester sucks. Chester is better and defiantly has better download speeds ;)
