Did you change to starlink for boondocking?
I stay at state and military campgrounds and need internet for work. Watching your video I think this mofi will be what I need. Just nervous and trying to decide.

Which cell carrier do you use? I'm on T-Mobile and when I put my phone SIM in my tablet, they were able to tell and throttled it to 2G. I had to get a tablet SIM for my tablet and a WIFI Hotspot SIM for my hotspot, but maybe other carriers are different and less discriminating?

I have a mofi 5500 with at&t plan and found out my playing around with it that if you add Nord VPN to your devices it doubles the speed of the wifi. I tried hooking up the VPN through the router but it did nothing to the speeds but when I add it on my computer and fire stick it doubles the download speeds and quadruples the upload speed. If you have a VPN then try it, it works

I have Visbile wireless on my mofi 5500 but it has bad throttling. I’m looking to get a different carrier that will not throttle me any recommendations?

I’m surprised your extra line is still working in another device. A lot of folks have bad throttling or the service won’t work when they try that. (I haven’t done it so I can’t say.)

I wanted to ask though, how are your speeds when you are in a smaller town / campground? Still pretty good or no?

5/9/22 I bought an Att prepaid SIM card from Best Buy. Now I need to activate it some how…then do I just put SIM card in the MOFi 5500 router?

There is no $10 second line from ATT. Second the Mofi isn't setup to automatically hide your data usage. If you put your sim in the Mofi you had better be changing the IMIE and TTL

Peplink is very much better. MOFI5500 freeze sometimes. from my experience
