I bought the Mofi-5500 EM9191 specifically due to the cat 20 modem with 5x carrier aggregation and ease of using external antennae. After numerous tests between it and my stock Arcadian gateway from T-mobile, the Arcadian gateway blows it out of the water. Even with the MOFI connected to external antennas when the Arcadian was not (same sim and IMEI on both). I never felt so robbed in my life by a product. The Arcadian without external antenna mod outperforms it tremendously, with the external antenna mod on the Arcadian it leaves the Mofi in the dust. BTW, the Arcadian gateways are being shipped with "warranty seal" stickers on one of the screws under the lid and the screw behind the back panel now....easy to remove without trace using tweezers though. ;)

Do you have a video on picking the correct port connection order for MIMO. I have a 4x4 MoFi 5500 5GxeLTE. And I am confused whether I pair my polarization diversity across #1 primary/secondary, or if I pair the primaries #1/#2. I assume #1 is a pair (1 primary, 1 secondary). Is that right?

I to have the mofi 5500, just ordered Chester box Im in a RV so the home units dont work for me on the road.... I have a Verizon home box at home and the tower is about a mile away I look forward to using this box to improve my speed... At home im at 170 down 20 up 5G yuk... I hope this will improve the upload. on the road I use T-Mobile im getting 100-180 down and 20-50 up in 4G we just may have to dump Verizon I need the upload more then the download great If I had not seen this video I would not be switching hopefully this will as easy to config and change providers as the mofi was with better results.

You mentioned following the wiring configuration setup detailed by Waveform for the Mofi 5500. But also mentioned as a result of testing with different gateways that you found improved performance experimenting with a different wiring configuration than waveform recommended. You referenced in the video that you would provide some feedback on different wiring configs with the Mofi 5500. Did you observe any improvements over Waveforms recommendation?

Hey Nate! I have the arc Verizon box connected via pig tail adapters to a 4x4 mimo panel. I then connected my Xbox to the Verizon box with an Ethernet cable and the speeds are….manageable, but my question is if I were to put the Verizon arc gateway back to stock condition and add a router to the Verizon box and make the arc a modem only via online, and then connected my Xbox to the router using Ethernet, would I see any improvement at all since either way I’m using a wired connection? Thank you for any help it’s been a journey trying to figure all of this out to only achieve minimal results so I’m just trying to see how far I can go to stay connected and your channel has been a huge help!

I'm dealing with double nat issues on my tmobile 5g with a business account -- But I'm struggling with the idea of purchasing a 5g router ($600+) that I'm ultimately just going to bridge to my existing router. Is there not a decent but cheap (sub $200) 5g modem I can get to replace the tmobile unit with? I only need something with an ethernet port (to connect to my router), and external antenna connectors. Can't seem to find anything.

In my opinion the T-Mobile stock units outperform the MOFI . I have an old MOFI just sitting around because all the stock AT&T and T-Mobile units both outperform it . I would still take the 520 modem anyway .

That was definetly disapointing. From what I've read elsewhere Sierra appears to be having a problem with this series of modem module. This latest firmware from Sierra (03.10.07.00) for the EM9191 appears to have been released to address an issue with dropping T-Mobile 5G connections. It looks like Mofi Networks has released router firmware (4.6.4) on the 10th to address a VPN issue and an issue with LTE Only using the new Sierra module firmware. Would be interested if the new router firmware helps or hinders your testing.

Also, will I need to reboot the router at some point and if so how? The person who helped me with these things passed away and I am trying to figure things out. Thanks
